Summary: I had this unit for less than 3 mos and had 2 problems. First a plastic part broke internally to the suction valve for the flex tube so there was no suction power to that part of machine. Second the self propell mechanism would not function all the time.
Summary: after reading so many glowing reviews, I have to suspect those were largely short term owners of this vacuum. I have 2 older Hoovers that are well proven machines, but this bagless self-propelled windtunnel upright is JUNK!
Summary: The first month it worked great. I loved the indicator that showed green once the area was thoroughly cleaned, and it made my carpet feel like new. After that first month, the indicator stopped working. A few months after that, there was a musty smell and then the vacuum started slightly smoking.
Summary: I did a great deal of research before purchasing this vacuum and was encouraged by all of the good reviews I read. The first time I used the vacuum, I was thrilled. It worked perfectly and the self-propel feature was wonderful! However, with subsequent uses, it became more and more of a problem.
Summary: I bought this vac as a second choice over a Hoover cannister (also a mistake). I've had both cannisters and uprights, and this one looked similar to the one that I just wore out. Plus it is supposed to be self-propelled. HAH!
Summary: I gave it 3 stars because it is powerful, but I expected it to be easier to use. It's heavy to move around. Even with the self propel power button on it feels like a clunker. I bought it for the self propel button thinking it would not be hard to push.
