  • Summary: Very light-weight (I can carry it with one hand). It still sounds like a vacuum cleaner but is much quieter than my old Hoover. I use the canister cleaner and attachments on my carpeted stairs with very good results. I like the sleek look of the vacuum and I like that the front that holds the bag is made of cloth and not hard plastic.

  • Summary: This is actually my second purchase of this item, I was so impressed by it that when I needed a second vacuum, this was the only choice for me. It is like getting two vacuums, the smaller unit having the tools. The upright is lightweight but powerful.

  • Summary: Time for another new (Ugh) Vacuum that my wife has been bugging for a year now, so back to the Oreck store for a test vac. First look was with the same as we currently have, a XL, too heavy according to the store manager, so I tried their new light weight which was on sale for $299.00 with $200.00 off MRSP of $499.00. Not impressed, I decided to wait until returning home to read reviews on the Oreck which lead me to Hoover reviews, and glad I did.

Love this Vacuum

Dee, ABT Electronics
28 March 2014
  • Excerpt: Love how light and easy to use this vacuum. I owned a Kirby for 20 yrs. but its heavy and hard to vacuum stairs. Also, had a bag less, but could still sense the dust. (I have allergies). Easy to change bags and don't have to deal with the nastiness of cleaning it, and dust getting in my lungs. Great value for your money!
  • Pros: Easy To Empty, Easy to Use, Efficient, Lightweight, Long Power Cord, Powerful/Good Suction

powerful, effective and fairly lightweight

  • Summary: After getting sick of taking apart and cleaning a bag-less vacuum every other time it was used we went with a conventional bag vacuum. Much better ! This is made in the USA, does not weigh too much, is very clean and modern looking and is super powerful! We never used all the brushes, hoses and cleaning attachments anyway so this is exactly what was needed; an easy to use, clean looking powerful carper sweeper that does not look like something out of a si-fi movie!

Light and powerful

Patrick, Amazon

  • Summary: Bagged is the way to go for vacuuming these days. It's cleaner and smells cleaner. This vacuum has no height adjustment or option to turn the spinning roller off. I can easily pick it up with one had plus it has a big handle in the back and one in the front. It has LED lighting in the front and a Low or High suction option. The Off /On and Low / High are both at the top on the handle. It has a very big bag filter too and a indicator light when full. Long cord too.

  • Summary: Both machines get the job done well. Love that both are bagged. HEPA is a plus. I have used bagless for years, and hate the idea of emptying the dirt bin. Having to empty the dirt bin into a trash can by tapping it defeats the purpose of vaccumming the dirt. Don't you think? The upright is light enough, but not as light as Oreck. It can goes pretty flat. The cord is really long. The light is very good and helpful.
