Summary: I've been looking for a light weight vacuum because most seem to weigh a ton and I wind up with a sore back. I tried the Shark Rocket Ultra Light which is supposed to weigh under 8 lbs., but all the weight is being held in your hand and arm while you vacuum. Bad idea - my back was killing me. Also, it was bagless - another bad idea, had to empty the container after doing each room - messy, too. So far, I really like this Hoover.
Summary: My 5 year old loves and uses canister. Now he can pick up hes own mess and it teaches him to stay clean. The big one got headlight and so cool looking and feeling- it delights my kids.Vacuuming has become fun in my house. Its great vacuum and gets the job done nicely. Only three downsides: the cords could have been made of better quality rubber. It damages easily.Second : i have to order bags from hoover.com and have to register there.Third-i wish the vacuum had its own...
Excerpt: FINALLY found a vacuum that PICKS UP THINGS from my carpeting...after buying, and returning, another model of Hoover, and a highly-rated Shark. Lighter weight, so easier to handle. Price at ABT was reasonable. The only thing I would recommend to Hoover is that this vac needs a more modern LOOK..its fabric bag and dreary coloring makes it look like something from the 1940's!
Pros: Lightweight, Long Power Cord, Powerful/Good Suction
Summary: We've gone through numerous vacuums and all seem to have some type of downside. The Hoover Platinum UH30010COM seems to have the best blend of features and value that we have experienced. The two vacuum design (one standup and one portable) is a great convenience and optimization of features. This allows the upright to be very light (at 11 lbs it is almost 50% lighter than most uprights). The portable is very convenient for tight spaces and especially the stairs.
Summary: Shopped for a while for a vacuum and this beats all unless you want to spend around $500. Only down thing I see is there's no controlling the height for the carpet. Must be self-adjusting while I do prefer to control this, especially on longer nap, but not a problem.
Summary: i just received that vacuum from "Better deals" The only complaint I have, is in the description it said it was on the original packaging. And it was not. Other than that. It just has a sticky spot where a sticker seems to have been removed.
Summary: First the negative: The little hand held vac is kind of difficult to get used to as I wear it like an oversized bag on my shoulder which makes it louder and the exhaust blows out rather hard which can remove papers from a desk so use with caution. The upright works very well on carpet but since you can't stop the spinning brush that flings dirt from tile more than it actually sucks it up into the bag. I use the hand held vacuum for hard surfaces.
Summary: for the upright vacuum I love the light weight, powerful suction, the L E D lamps and the 2 speed brush. I agree with another reviewer who thought the a simple height adjustment would really improve the vacuum. It pushes kind of hard on our living room rug. the mini vac tends to swing around a bit when using the strap. It has good suction and is small enough to tuck it away where ever you use it most.
