CAP2006, Walmart
7 September 2014
  • Summary: While the stated attributes of being light weight and having variable vacuum settings are accurate, what is not mentioned is that those benefits provide no value on thick pile carpets. On tightly woven carpets and tiles, the performance is fine. However it is extremely difficult to push and maneuver over plush carpets, even at the low suction setting. I am pretty fit, but the use of this vacuum has become an excellent form exercise that I was not looking for.

  • Summary: I rate this vacuum as a cheep nock off of the Oreck. And I returned that vacuum in a day. The little vacuum with the tools is useless. It flies all over the place when you are trying to use it. The vacuum itself isn't completely useless, it does get up against the walls. A good vacuum has to have good suction and a good roller brush. I have children, pets and a husband. So that is a lot of foot traffic and pet hair.

Disappointing

Halfpass, Amazon
9 June 2012
  • Summary: This vacuum is beautiful and lightweight. Because it's so light, I wondered if it could clean well, but it did, and it was very maneuverable. I was very pleased. Then, a few months later it became hard to push across my developer-grade carpeting (so about as thin as it can get and still be called carpeting). I put in a new $26 belt and bag, and cleaned the roller. It was still hard to push. Because it was still under warranty I took it into a Hoover repair shop.

Awful for floors and area rugs

56mp, Kohls.de
4 January 2012
  • Summary: I was most disappointed by this vacuum. My old Hoover canister vacuum broke and I was hoping this might be a good replacement as the new canister model is very cheaply designed. The suction on the upright worked well on carpeting, but it just gobbled my area rugs. The head was also very large so there were lots of places that I couldn't use it and would need to use the attachments.
  • Pros: upright had good suction
  • Cons: mobile canister had poor suction, mobile canister had tiny bag, attachments fell off

Nice idea - poor execution

California240, Kohls.de
30 July 2011
  • Summary: Nice that it adjusts from carpet to hard floor all by itself, but watch out if you have area rugs. Since there is no manual floor height adjustment, I find it grabs the edges no matter how fast I try to go over them and chews up my area rugs even on the low setting. If I did not have area rugs I would think this was a great product.

Great if you don't have deep pile carpet

anagram, ABT Electronics
4 April 2010
  • Excerpt: I had to return the vacuum cleaner because it would burrow into my deep pile carpet, making it very difficult to push. With a height adjustment, this would be a great vacuum cleaner.
  • Pros: Attractive Design, Compact
  • Cons: No height adjustment, Won't work with deep pile
