Well....it sucks and after few year now its broken

Summary: Bought for $100 bucks at Home Depot. The idea is good, sort of a hybrid between canister and upright....but: 1. it sticks when motor is running 2. cord is unfortunately not spring loaded and I hated this 3. its heavy 4. its very difficult to fully extend to upright position 5. hose finally broke, but I fixed it 6. the mechanisms then let's u use it as upright vacuum cleaner broke 7.
Summary: We bought this vacuum for the infamous $99 price everyone else seems to have bought it for. I really liked it when it worked. The broad head rocked as I felt I could cover a lot of ground with one sweep. I liked the power and suction. It clogged a couple times, but was fairly easy to clean. I loved the telescoping wand and long hose. Unfortunately the lifetime filter on mine did not clean itself like advertised and I have to get a new one.
THE MOST UNIQUE AND USABLE VACUUM EVER INVENTED...LIKE THE EDSEL, WAS AHEAD OF IT'S TIME

Summary: THE FOLLOWING REVIEW WAS WRITTEN 5/21/07 ABOUT THE U9145-900 "Z 700" MODEL AND I STILL FEEL THE SAME WAY! IN FACT, I JUST BOUGHT A U9125-900 "Z 400" A FEW WEEKS AGO AND WILL KEEP THAT ONE UNTIL I NEED IT IN THE FUTURE. I have been an appliance buff since I was a kid. I bought my Mom the top of the line Hoover Celebrity Canister vacuum back in the early 80s and used it often.
Summary: My fiance and I have had this for about 3 years, and I think it's wonderful. It has a few cons, but the pros blow them away, at least for me. PROS: ~ The suction feels good and strong; I've never had a problem with it leaving anything behind. The head is nice and wide, and it's also flat enough to go under some furniture. ~ The canister is easy to remove, empty, and replace.
Summary: While noisy, it's less noisy than the one it replaced. It's also odd beyond belief. At first, it was always folding up on me, leading to frustration bordering on rage. It doesn't do that any more; perhaps I was subconsciously trained. Why was it designed to fold up anyway? I've never actually wanted to do that. At the moment the floor head isn't picking up anything even though I've disassembled it and cleaned it.
Summary: The bucket is too small and make a mess every time we empty it. The screen in the bucket breaks easily and we've had to special order it twice (takes three weeks to arrive). Don't waste your money!!!
Summary: We bought this vacuum about 2 years ago and rarely use it. The vacuum is way too heavy...and we're in relatively good shape. You will never want to carry it up or down stairs. As of today, the vacuum stopped sucking things up...so now I have a heavy vacuum that doesn't work. I would not recommend this vacuum.
Summary: I also purchased this for the low $99 price. As the saying goes, "you get what you pay for" and with a price of $199... you get much less. Let me start by saying: It doesn't vacuum any better than any other same price vacuum I have ever used or owned. The cons: 1. This thing weighs a TON. Put your money into a self-propelled. Lugging around that much weight makes the chore of vacuuming that much more horrific.
Summary: bought this when it first came out versus the dyson. made wrong decision. dirt catcher too small and very messy to empty. filter clogs easily with dog hair. very heavy. would not let a friend buy this machine.
