Hose Clogs, HEPA filter clogs and is hard to clean
6 July 2013
Summary: This vacuum actually worked for several months of very light use. Then when tasked with some heavy cleaning, the hose clogged, and so did the HEPA filter - it clogged so badly that the suction dropped to almost nothing.
Summary: The U8351-900 is the biggest mistake you can make when buying a vaccuum cleaner. The Hepa Filter is a joke. We use our Red Devil to clean the filter. Now the on-off switch has failed. The suction in the hose is next to nothing. The front exhaust blows the dirt in front of the machine.
Summary: My husband & I bought this vacuum after our wedding in September 2009. It cost over $300. Within a few uses, it seemed to lose all its powers of suction. I had to go over the same spots four or five times before they looked "acceptable," never mind actually being clean.
Summary: This is one of the worst vacuums I've ever owned. Dirt spills every time you empty the dirt cup, no matter what you do to avoid it. So you have to clean the vac and the floor around it each time. Also, the "lifetime" belt is a bunch of BS.
Excerpt: I bought this think it was a good brand it wound be great for my cat hair IT SUCKS! it work for a week then the belt broke cost 18 dollars and u can only find it online at hoover.com anyways needs to be a few months later and i can't get the thing to roll right the wheel has pop of.
Excerpt: For the money (I paid $199 for mine) this is a poor quality choice!! About the ONLY thing in my home, I don't mind spending a little extra on, is my vaccum!! From the moment I got it (on clearance, so the skae was FINAL - which should have been my indicator) I was disappointed!
Yes, all the reviews are true. This TRULY is a flawed design in more ways than one

Summary: This thing sucks for these reasons... 1. The self cleaning filter doesn't work AT ALL. It clogs after only a few uses, and turns this thing into a nasty smelling, dust spewing beast. I think this thing actually creates more dust than it picks up. 2. This thing is WAY to heavy.
