Summary: Honestly, I didn't even get a chance to use this vacuum - my husband did. He didn't even use it but for a few minutes before we realized it was taking the twist right out of our carpet! Had we not had twisted carpet, this probably would be a great vacuum.
Excerpt: Staples did everything right. this is my second one. The first one was returned. It soundeds like an old car ready to break down and the light indicating dirt pick up would not work. Staples took care of it and sent me a new one.Naturally, the old one was sent back at no charge.
Summary: VERY DISPPOINTED, WE HAD IT SHIPPED TO OUR HOUSE, WHEN WE TOOK IT OUT OF THE BOX & TRIED IT IT DID NOT SELF-PROPEL. CALLED THE TELEPHONE NUMBER ON THE BOX, WAS GIVEN THE OPTION OF RETURNING IT TO A STORE OR TAKING IT TO AN AUTHORIZED REPAIR CENTER.
Summary: I'm a disabled (physically challenged, whatever!) woman who still needs to clean house (two shedding feline monster masters run this household!) unless I want to pick up the phone and have someone do it for me. So ... I require a self-propelled vacuum.
Excerpt: I bought the Hoover WindTunnel Bagged Upright (with the Hepa filter) about 6 months ago. You put it together yourself, which is not too difficult. The quality of the plastic seems kinda cheap. I turned the self-propelled feature on, then tried to turn it off, and I couldn't.
Pros: Good value for the money, especially since there's a Hepa filter on it.
Cons: Short hose. Self-propelled feature won't turn off once you turn it on.
Summary: We purchased this product in October 2009 and it was used for the first time after Christmas. In less than 6 weeks and having been used 5 times, the belt used to power the self-propelled mechanism as well as the rotating brushes broke.
Summary: We waited to receive the vacuum with anticipation, since it was well rated by consumer reports. We are also previous Hoover owners and were pleased in the past. My complaint is not with Hoover but more with Amazon.
