Summary: I buy one of these about every 3 years or so because I use it at least once a month for either cleaning my rugs or cleaning my furniture. This time I ordered online, it arrived on time and everything seemed fine until I connected the hand tool. It immediately started leaking from the connection.
Summary: These cleaners have two positives. They are inexpensive and they are far cheaper than a serivce company and you aren't using a machine that will rarely be clean. The biggest problem is not Walmart but Hoover. they are not made to survive intact more than two years.
Excerpt: I purchased this to deep clean a tan berber carpet in my apartment. Since this seemed to be fairly easy to use, as well as reasonably priced and smallish in size (for a carpet shampooer) I took a gamble and purchased it on sale for $130.
Excerpt: I don't want to give this a horrible review but I was not satisfied with the cleaning this product did. I have 3 kids, a dog, 2 bunnies, and a cat so needless to say my carpets can get pretty nasty at times.
Excerpt: I purchased the hoover steam vac because I was tired of renting the deep cleaners and the grocery store everytime there was a stain at my house. The cleaning power is good, but the machine got gunked up with carpet fibers and pet hair super fast at my house.
Excerpt: This is a good machine when it works. I've only had the machine for a year and I've already had to replace the brush block twice. In addition, the compartment where the cleaning fluid goes has lost it's seal and cleaner fluid leaks out all over the place.
Excerpt: This was a purchase for when our pups were little, and had not gotten the potty thing down. I actually picked it one up while at the store anyway. And, I got what I paid for. It's not all that expensive, and it sort of did the job, but it wasn't what I was expecting.
Excerpt: You will love the idea of owning a steamvac far more than actually using this product. The steamvac does not heat water high enough, and at times I noticed that it seems to dump water on different areas of the closet.
Excerpt: We recently needed to replace our carpet cleaner. I looked online and found this model. I liked the price, but even more than the price, I liked the fact that it has a two tank set up, meaning your clean water and dirty water are not in the same area.
"Steamvac" that doesn't actually have steam!

Excerpt: In the course of my travels I have had the opportunity to use a wide variety of carpet cleaner/shampoo machines. I have used a good many professional truck-mounted one and professional portable machines to the rental units, usually bissells, to the home-use models.
