Summary: When I first got this washer, the nozzle was broken and leaked the clean water everywhere. Hoover replaced the arm and that resolved the leaking issue. I say "false advertising" because this isn't really a steam cleaner. The only time you'll see steam with this product is if your tap water gets hot enough to produce steam. (I've taken to adding boiling water to the tap water mix to get it hotter).
Summary: I used this cleaner to clean upholstery. It did a really good job. The dirty water container had really dirty water, a good sign that it was working. My only problem was toward the end of the cleaning task. The trigger on the hose attachment didn't work well. There was a constant stream of water even when my finger was not on the trigger, making it difficult remove the water with the suction action (water dripping while suctioning).
Summary: This is a great carpet steamer, and performance exceeds the price, but the plastic is relatively cheap and the handle-stop plastic broke off due to the weight of the handle with a full tank of water. This was disappointing, but repairable by myself. Use it gently, and it will work great for you. Can't withstand commercial use or frequent banging around.
