  • Summary: the unit works well but a small rubber washer cracked after a few uses....fortunately the washer is very common and can be purchased for a few cents locally.

  • Summary: For the price this is an excellent carpet cleaner. The things i don't like is the buttons for on/off and handle release are kinda small. Also, the upholstery hose that is stored onboard don't exactly stay put. None of these affect the ability of the machine. All in all I would order this again.

  • Summary: I have only had the opportunity to use it once however it was on both my carpets and my upholstery. What I did notice is that it pulled the dirt effectively which left the carpet fibers feeling softer. My upholstery was clean but it took a little longer for the fabric to dry than I expected. I had an Oreck cleaner which stopped working after 15 years, so I researched replacements that would be comparable to its ability.

  • Summary: I have pets and a medium thickness carpet. I purchased this cleaner 2 years ago but just took it out of the box for the first time. Please note that It works really well but for a really deep clean, I suggest a another model but It did a very decent job on my carpet. I could not believe the dirt (black) that came out of my carpet. I have cats and they track in the dirt. The machine will tell you when to empty the dirty water because the sound will get high.

  • Summary: First of all, you have to remember that the majority of the material used is plastic, so read your directions and be gentle. After that, worked great, used it on brand new carpeting because of my cat's allergies and the water looked like milk chocolate. Then used it on my kitchen tile floor and really got it super clean. I just used water on the carpet and the tile used a drop of Dawn.

  • Summary: I had a Hoover Platinum carpet cleaner prior to this purchase. There is NO comparison....this carpet cleaner is superior to the more expensive one!! It has easy access to both tanks, and has the same cleaning tool the other one has. This one seems to be sturdier, and is very easy to use. I couldn't be happier with this model.

  • Summary: I'm impressed. I am a senior and didn't want a heavy cleaner I couldn't push around. I have had many carpet cleaners in my time and this is the best one yet! I have used my daughters Rug Dr and this one is much better . Reading all the reviews some complaints were the tanks were small but they are all about the same size. I wouldn't want them any larger - would be to heavy to push around/or carry to dump the tanks.

  • Summary: It only took 5 minutes to assemble and 3 minutes to understand the operational components. Once I started cleaning the carpets, I didn't want to stop. But I was embarrassed as to how much dirt came up judging by the color of the water in the capture container. Each use/cycle goes through a gallon of water. I did three cycles and cleaned two rooms. Carpets looked and felt like new. I figured I about paid for the machine in just one use. Highly recommend.

  • Summary: I purchased the Hoover SteamVac with Clean Surge and it worked great the first time. The second time i went to use it, it went through a whole tank of water and NONE was suctioned up. What a mess. I did everything the manual said to check and still no suction. I am extremely disappointed withe the product. Will not buy nor recommend this carpet cleaner.
