Excerpt: I have two teenagers, two indoor outdoor cats, and a husband who has no idea what the phrase "please wipe your feet" means, and this Hoover wasn't what I was hoping for.ManeuverabilityThe good news it that this floor cleaner is light weight and maneuvers easily. It doesn't have swiveling head, but its low front does fit nicely under cupboards in the kitchen.
Summary: I observed professional cleaners using these years ago so decided to try one. It's a wonderful little machine. This will be the fifth one I've owned and would not consider buying anything else. Great price and fast delivery too.
Summary: I owned my prior Hoover Portapwoer vacuum for 23 years and it finally gave out. I bought that unit at an US Army PX and it was fantastic - five stars. This model is not as good, but is still okay. There are two main drawbacks to this unit (that you may find not to be an issue), but they were important for my wife and me. First, the cord is very long - too long.
Summary: My family loves this vacuum so much that we've purchased this model (or very similar) three times in the last 40 years or so. Usually we just replace the brushes in the motor when they wear, but it gets used so much that about every 10 or 12 years, we get a new one.
Summary: I bought this product because of the Hoover name and the expectation that because it was advertised as "commercial" it would last. I was willing to pay the additional price expecting excellent performance. My disappointment can not be stated more emphatically! Within a week the light that let you know if you were on floor or carpet stopped working.
