Disappointing customer service. A rare Amazon experience.

Summary: The unit arrived without registration number plate attached. Contacted both Amazon and Hoover to try to register the item. No help from either. Amazon customer service said if I needed service under warranty, I could just show my purchase documents to repair shop. Not very good second effort. The vacuum works fine, but when I turn it off to move to another location, cannot turn it back on for about 20 minutes. Very frustrating.
Summary: This vacuum cleaner is solidly built and pick up any dirt it rolls over. It's light and easy to use and has a simple attractive design. The only down side is the cord, which is industrial weight. So it will never wear out, but it's a little heavy for my older mother.
Summary: It's simple. It's a vacuum for all carpet. It has no hose/attachments, and it doesn't 'auto adjust' low enough to vacuum hard floors, but that makes it light and durable. If you have a lot of carpets, I'd say get this and a canister. If not, get an upright with attachments just 'cause two vacuums takes up a lot of space. The extension cord that comes with this thing is sold some places for more than half the cost of the vacuum.
Summary: I have been through a ton of vacuums and this is the best. It is extremely lightweight so you can carry it up and down stairs with no strain, and it cleans better than vacuums that cost three times the price. It is solidly built and simple to use. The only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is the cord is an extreme pain in the you-know-what. It is so heavy and long that manually wrapping it up when you're through vacuuming is very cumbersome.
Summary: When you consider the price of this vacuum vs a Shark, Dyson etc, it's a real bargain. Quiet, light weight, easy to maneuver and get in tight places. Nice carrying handle. The suction is commercial grade, it will pick up anything with out missing a beat. It's a smaller amp unit, but don't let that fool you, those amps are used very efficiently. The construction is first rate-made to with stand daily duty, and will surely outlast a Dyson, Shark etc.
Summary: This is a fantastic vacuum. It's not pretty, but it cleans thoroughly with little back and forth. The extra long cord enables us to clean each floor of our 1500 square foot condo without plugging in in each room. It's also light enough to carry up and down the stairs with ease. Speaking of ease, it's easy to push unlike our previous Oreck. In fact that's the reason we bought this new vac which also picks up dirt more thoroughly.
Summary: I'm happy with the light weight and great suction power this has. The 40 ft cord was heavy and too much for me to drag around so I replaced it with an equally heavy duty 25 ft cord which has worked better for me and makes the vacuum lighter than with the longer cord. It does a great job on my carpet, is easy to get in and out of narrow spaces and tucks away in a corner for storage. It was super easy to put together when I received it.
Summary: This is the first vacuum that advertises to be lightweight and actually is. I'm in my 70's and was pleasantly surprised how easy it is to use. Too bad the cord is so heavy, weighs more than the vacuum. My main complaint is the ugly orange color of the cord and the base of the vacuum...not the color I was shown in the picture. Oh, I do have another gripe and that is how the cord wraps around the handle..
