Summary: Have found the power of this cordless vacuum to be what we could never find in previous hand held vacuums. The only negative for us is the exhaust-air-exits disperse some of the items that are not in the path of suction and scatters the items all over the place.
Excerpt: Great to clean dry spills if material isn't too large in diameter.Good for removing pet hair from furniture.Best handheld I've tried.Feels a little clubby and awkward in some situations.Built-in crevice tool/brush can be a little difficult to use.Should come with two batteries.
Pros: Attachments, Powerful/Good Suction
Cons: A Little Awkward To Use I, Can Feel Clubby, Should Have 2 Batteries, Will Clog, Will Clog Where Debris En
Summary: The main reason I bought this vacuum is for the Lithium Ion battery system. It is one of only two or three models out there with this kind of battery and frankly it is a must if you want the thing to run longer than 30 seconds before getting weak. So far, it has been a good vacuum. The attachments that come with it are quite handy: I have used both the large brush and the small brush so far. The suction is good, but the filter does need to be emptied/cleaned quite often.
Summary: I like that I can use the same battery with both the Hoover Linx handheld vac and the Hoover Linx stickvac. I love almost everything about the handheld. Great suction and so easy to use on the carpeted stairs. The only complaint I have is I cannot remove the dirt cup no matter how hard I try. It is too wide for me to grasp and turn. There should be something on there that I could grab onto while trying to turn. My husband has to do it.
Summary: This is the best hand vacuum I've ever used. Here are some of the pros: 1. The battery lasts long enough to vaccum the living room and kitchen floor including the stairs. 2. The vaccum has full suction until the battery completly dies - it doesn't putter out just shuts down completly. 3. It has enough suction to get all the crumbs off the floor and dog hairs off the furniture. 4. The filter is easy to clean and the recepticle is easy to clean and dump. 5.
Summary: I purchased this mainly b/c I have a lot of pet hair to deal w/and needed something to clean the stairs. The motorized brush attachment is great for this purpose. It definitely picks up the dog hair, which is not so easy since I have a Dalmatian mix (the fur has barbed ends and sticks to everything!) It is also a great little vac. for picking up the messes my kids are constantly making. No loss of suction even with the collection bin filled with dog hair.
Summary: My previous cordless handheld was a Dirt Devil Extreme Power. The Hoover BH50030 has an 18V motor versus the 15.6V motor of the Dirt Devil, which suggests possibly 15% more power. It does seem to have more suction, but the difference isn't night and day. The powered brush roller, however, often makes all the difference. I'm amazed at how effective it is for cleaning the carpet mats in my car.
Summary: I like this purchase. So I was looking for a handheld vac that would not break for eternity. Over the last 5 years I have gone through 3 handheld vacuums that have been fine, but they didn't last very long (both were Shark whatever volt, who cares). This vac comes with a 6 yr. warranty on the vac and a 2 yr. warranty on the battery.
Great handheld vac (2 dogs + 1 cat + 1 toddler = lots of vacuuming)

Summary: We have both this handheld vac and also the Hoover LINX Cordless Stick Vacuum . These two devices share rechargeable batteries, fyi. This handheld vac is specifically designed for pet hair, and includes a modular powered head, which does a great job of getting hair off of fabric surfaces, and of brushing dirt and detritus off of surfaces in general. The powered head is modular, so you can snap it off and just use it as a regular dust busting type of hand vac as well.
