Summary: This is a great portable vacuum. The battery does last a nice long time. I usually keep it in the charger when not in use to ensure it is fully ready when I need it. The only hard part is getting the container off the machine when emptying it. It does take a bit of muscle to twist it off. However, that said, this is also a good thing because it ensure that the suction power is all contained within the unit.
I need help to get the dirt container off every time! Slippery and nothing to grab. What was Hoover thinking?!!

Summary: The product runs well, isn't excessively noisy, and it picks up everything with ease. The main concern I had before purchasing was the size, long design and weight as my hands are small. That wasn't really a problem. It is heavy, but not overly so. And the unit seems well-balanced. HOWEVER, the dirt cup has nothing for me to grab to get it off. It is a large dirt cup and is slippery and round.

Summary: I chose this LINX hand vacuum because I have the Hoover LINX stick vacuum. I love the stick vacuum, and the batteries on both are interchangeable. This is a huge benefit, if you also own the stick vacuum. In fact, if it were not for that benefit, I would have sent this hand vacuum back and chosen another. The dirt cup is impossible for me to remove with my bare hands.
A decent vacuum that costs about twice as much as it's worth

Summary: This vacuum has decent suction but not great. The running time per charge is shorter than one would expect for a lithium ion battery - just a few minutes. As other reviewers mentioned, you have to remove the battery to charge it. This is easy to do, but it means there's no simple way to set the vacuum in a charging stand and then pick it up and go. Instead the battery is in its charger and the vacuum has no stand of its own.
Summary: Obviously, I bought this because it said "PET" in the description, and I wanted to be able to pick up pet hair - both that flying around on non-carpeted floors (as it does) and furniture. I'll give you this: the vacuum is lightweight, well made, and has great attachments. It's the quality I expect and receive from a Hoover (which has been around for my entire lifetime). Here are my suggestions for when it's a GOOD solution: * If you have a cat/dog/rabbit/etc.
Summary: First of all, after buying the LINX standup vac I was blown away by the power it had. So, I decided to jump back on board and get this as its companion. Well, the brush accessory that is powered works wonderfully. However, normal dustbusting without the accessory was just average. When you spend this kind of money you expect better suction than a low cost Black and Decker Hand Vac. That's the area where I think it could have been better.
