Summary: I bought this hand vac along with the Hoover LINX stick vac at the beginning of 2013. Now 6 months later, both have pretty much become useless. I loved them when I first got them. Their lack of cords, and their lightness, made it easy to quickly grab a vacuum and clean up a mess whenever one happened. Vacuuming was easier to do on a daily basis so my house stayed a lot cleaner.
After One Year of Light Use, It's a Sad Piece of Busted Junk

Summary: I had high hopes for this one, wanted to believe that you get what you pay for, and that my experience would be as good as all the good reviews said. Right away I enjoyed the great features other buyers had praised. The power head brushroll did a fantastic job on the stairs. And the battery charged quickly and lasted longer between charges than I expected it would.
Summary: As a small battery-powered hand vacuum, this is a very nice little product. HOWEVER, I purchased it to clean up dog and cat hair off of surface areas like the sofa, pillows, quilts, etc. The brush rotates just fine until it touches a surface. So, it simply doesn't pick up any hair. I just called Hoover Customer Service and was told that the brush is powered by the air and is not intended to rotate when it touches something. I'm not sure who the idiot is ...
Summary: Not sure if we just got a faulty product, but our Hoover Platinum LINX Pet is terrible. It doesn't pick up pet hair, or anything else for that matter, on our floors, carpets or furniture. It is a huge waste of money, especially with what they are charging for it. We've had other cordless vacs and even the cheap ones are better than this one. STAY AWAY!!!
