Summary: 29 March, 2015 - My parents own this same model vacuum for years now. Despite it being out of production, Eureka always is able to ship parts to us (at a price of course) i.e. the long tube, filters, cleaning devices etc. So I am very familiar with the operation and maintenance of this model.
Summary: Every now and then I buy a different brand, and always come back to Eureka. This is the first bagless, and haven't had it long enough to tell if I like that or not. Plenty powerful, not any noisier than other vacuums, easy to use, change tools, etc.
Summary: Well, I really wanted to love this vacuum. However, it was just average. I have an old, heavy vacuum from Sears that still works, but I have to buy bags for it and as I said, it's heavy. I was hoping for a new, bag less, light weight vacuum that had all the functions of my old one.
Summary: If you have any pets run the other way from this vacuum. It is has got to be the most poorly designed vacuum in history. Pet hair collects at the end of the tube, adjacent to a plastic piece that cannot be removed.
Summary: Well, it does do the job. No settings for different carpet levels. Power head propels itself. There are plenty of attachments. The filter is washable. I really don't like the bagless, so next time I'll probably buy something different. But for now, this does do a very good job. It's noisy.
Summary: I would never buy this vacuum again. The electrical cord is not long enough. The vacuum hose is always getting kinked and twisted. I received my vacuum in July 2014. In November 2014 it quit working. Would not turn on. I took it to Eureka authorized repair store.
Summary: 1. The light is nice, but has a very short life, probably about an hour. Replacement bulb didn't last any longer. Guess I will live without the light. 2. I don't care for the handle wanting to rotate 90 degrees from center.
