Summary: I bought this vacuum two weeks ago and I use it daily. I love this vacuum. I can't say enough great things about this vacuum. I had a Dyson City canister vacuum and I hated it. I had it only two years and it was a piece of junk. This Eureka is one powerful vacuum. I have an 1800 sq. ft. house with 90% tile. I also have two dogs and live in Florida were sand in the soil is a constant problem. The dirt bin on this vacuum has been 1/4 to 1/2 full daily.
Summary: I purchased this vacuum after my cheap little Oreck blew out after 18 months. I was really disappointed. I did a lot of internet research to find a replacement. I ordered my vacuum online and it was delivered to the store for pick up. The in store options were terrible. The suction is excellent on this machine, I really like the fact that you can increase or decrease the suction by moving the button to the left or right.
Summary: Never got a chance to use it. Although it seems like a good machine it was sent without a motor filter. If I hadn't checked and ran it, I would have ruined the motor. Also, there was some sort of snap ring loose in the box which was not on the parts list and probably helped to lock the beater onto the wand. However, I was unable to figure it out and the wand wouldn't stay in the beater. Moot point since I can't run it without the motor filter.
Summary: There was a lot of trial and error but I am finally happy with my vacuum. This one has great features and very powerful suction. I love the retractable cord (although it does make for a shorter cord than you can get with non-retractable ones but I can live with that), love the on-board tool storage, love that it's bagless. The cup on this is fairly large and I could not believe the first time I used it all that it picked up.
Excerpt: I bought mine on Amazon, I replaced an older Eureka canister vacuum, I really like this machine it is quiet considering there are two motors running at the same time, It has so much suction it can be difficult to push as it is grabbing the carpet, however there is a suction release and a control to reduce the motors power, It works great on tile and hardwood floors too.
Summary: I was replacing a hoover I got a few years ago that I loved. It isn't available anymore. The power head on this vacuum moves like my old one. I sucks well. Pretty. I wish I could turn it on on the handle. Some nice features. Attachment storage is akward.
Summary: I could not believe how much dirt it got out of a carpet that I thought was clean. After I assembled it & read the manual I gave it a quick try. The results told me that my old vacumn cleaner wasn't doing the job any more. Walmarts price is the best I could find & it's well worth the money.
Summary: Cleans very well. I like the feature where you can choose the suction control. The hose is a little unruly, but then again, I haven't owned a canister vacuum for years. Light enough for me to move around.
Summary: Vacuum has good suction and includes on board tools which is useful. We have 2 dogs and 1 cat that shed a lot. This vacuum does a great job picking up the pet hair. I'm not a fan of the tools being on the wand vs being on the actual body of vacuum. The tool caddy on the wand gets in the way when extending wand in small spaces or reaching overhead. Very easy to dump dirt cup.
