  • Summary: My rating is based solely on the manufacturer's lack of replacement parts for this hand-held vacuum. It may work wonderfully, but I didn't get a chance to find out. After two short uses, I misplaced the dust cup while emptying the cleaner and brushing off the filter. I know - dumb thing to do. But I was at first pleased to google Eureka and find numerous web sites saying "Find any Eureka vacuum part in three easy clicks.

  • Summary: No stars for this item. It worked okay, but just quit working after about a dozens uses. Unfortunately, the warranty card never got sent in. Also, this thing is pretty heavy and the hose is short.

Piece of Plastic Junk!

  • Summary: Do not buy this product if you don't want to be cheated by a phony warranty and cheap plastic parts that break.
  • Pros: Works fine until it breaks
  • Cons: Cheap plastic pieces break. Eureka warranty not honored.

  • Summary: Got this as a gift for my daughter. Looks like a pretty nice product, certainly more powerful and versatile than all those cordless wimps with no power. But the drive belt either came loose or broke (couldn't tell which) and then we discovered that it is not user replaceable. Horrible design. I couldn't believe it, so I called Eureka and was told it had to be taken to a service center. NO vacuum cleaner should have a drive belt that is not user replaceable.

Overheated the fist time I used it

Lillygirl, Kohls.de

  • Summary: Not impressed. I don't know if I got one that had issues or if this vac is not for me. I needed a hand held vac for my stairs and couch. I only have 15 stairs and halfway up it stopped working because it overheated. My son had been using it so I thought maybe he had done something wrong , but when I used it the next time it did the same thing!

Eureka 71B Hand-Held Vacuum

  • Summary: This was a good vacuum for the 12 or so times it has been used over the last year. It is now broken. The beater brush does not spin. I thought I would get more than a few uses from a Eureka product.

  • Summary: When my second Shark Euro-Pro kicked the bucket I decided to try a new brand. I have three cats and am somewhat fanatic about cat hair. This hand vac looked like it would be a champ for furniture and stairs. Also, other reviewers seemed to really like the Eureka Vac so what the hey it was worth a try. Here is the problem. 1. The brush head stops spinning any time it meets any resistance. It stopped every time I tried to vacuum the sofa. Not so great for getting up fur.

Underpowered and heavy.

Alex "Alex", Amazon

  • Summary: This vacuum is useless. Underpowered and heavy. Suction is terrible. I don't know how it got these raving reviews. I wish I spent a few bucks more for something better.
