Summary: I bought this on many reputable ratings and I can say that it did not perform as expected. I did a lot of work and went through 2 pads with little result. The steam simply is not very abundant and didn't seem very hot. I took it back and we are now mopping the floor with Spin n Span just like my mother and grandmother.
Summary: The Eureka 313A was recommended by Consumer Report as being the best cleaning steam mop. It arrived from Wal-Mart on line in 2 days. No problems setting it up in 5 minutes. Read the manual before using there are things you need to know. It was much easier to use than the Shark Steam Mop that I wore myself out pumping. The Eureka was more heavy duty (metal) than the cheaper Shark (plastic) with a stronger handle and base.
Summary: I am very satisfied with this mop. It's easy to use and does a great job cleaning. I have used it on laminate and tile, and I know my floors are the cleanest they've ever been. I was apprehensive about using it on laminate, but I had no problems at all. I have a cat, so it's very important to me that I can get my floors super clean without using any cleaning products. I plan on purchasing another mop for my son and daughter-in-law.
Summary: Likely, as opposed to most buyers, I am among the minority that primarily bought this unit to clean my epoxy floor in our 3 car garage. Having used it once so far it really does a great job of lifting off most of the minor stains from tire treads and water stains as it runs off our cars. Much more efficient than a bucket of water (with cleaning solutions added) and a sponge mop.
Summary: I bought a Shark S3101 at Walmart about a week ago and tried it out and was not satisfied with it.So I brought it back. It left steaks, you really couldn't see if you were out of water, you needed a funnel to get the water into it (you had to use your own funnel). You could only use one side of the pads because it had velcro strips on one side. The Eureka 313A it a much better designed unit and does a much better job for only $10 more in price.
Summary: This is my third Eureka Envirosteamer. The first lasted 2 months and then I waited about 4 months for a replacement through warranty service. The next one lasted a bit longer, maybe 2 years. You must be VERY CAREFUL not to tip it over or to overfill it. If water somehow escapes from the tank, it will quit forever.
Summary: I purchased this mop based on Consumer Reports and customer reviews. I do not like it at all. The warming tray was full of water after heating up and it took about 5 minutes to heat up. The floors were soaking wet . Not a good match for me think I will go back to the Haan.
