Summary: Bought (a green) one (from Lowe's) when we needed a replacement for our ~1991 Electrolux Epic 3500 sr upright. The previous vacuum was a bulletproof long-lived vacuum, and we (like others here and elsewhere) bought the new one based mostly on the name. It turns out that this was our mistake. The new vacuum was heavy and cumbersome straight out of the box, but at least seemed to work well, for a while, anyway. After about a year, the suction seemed to be gone.
Summary: Electrolux will be glad to know I'm not returning my vacuum for the forth time to be repaired. I gave it away and purchased a shark. This is part of the free advertisement I promised you wouldn't want. No more Electrolux for me...
Summary: BEWARE THIS PRODUCT IS A WASTE OF MONEY! I bought this vacuum for $159.00. The first time I used it, the suction stopped working, so I returned it and was sent a second one that stopped working after 2 months. Returned it a second time and received a third one that didn't work right from day one - suction on the hand tool never worked properly, but I wasn't able to return it because I was told that I had returned it too many times. Where is this vacuum now?
Summary: This is our second Electrolux vacuum. When we took the first one (a terrible vacuum) to a repairman, he contacted the company, and they sent us this as a replacement. We were so excited...until we realized that it's awful too. The suction in the attachments is nonexistent, and it's an overall disappointment. We'll never buy another Electrolux.
Summary: This is by far the worst vacuum I've ever owned!! I thought Electrolux was a quality name! What a joke. The suction is fine. That's it. Everything is extremely cumbersome to use. And it's heavy. I was used to my 8 lb. Oreck (which I'll be purchasing again). I could have gone on a nice weekend retreat for the money I wasted on this piece of crap vacuum!!!
Summary: I bought the green version of this vacuum at Costco and I have been very pleased with the large amount of cat hair and dirt it picks up. I am not happy about the lack of a handle to use this machine on the stairs. It is heavy and very cumbersome without a handle towards the bottom. Also, the suction for the onboard tools is nonexistent. I've taken the hose off and checked everything and there are no obstructions - it just doesn't have any suction when I use the hose.
Summary: I've had mine now for seven months and I've been so impressed I've bought three more for family members. (Multiple purchases, however only because I'm getting great buys on lightly used store returns.) My only reservation on this five star recommendation is that it's not very durable--all pretty light plastic and not built to last as long as quality products once were expected to be.
Summary: Electrolux Versatility vaccuum worked well for awhile, filters were jammed in, hard to get out, new filters don't fit. Not Mom's Electrolux, and didn't even last as long as my last cheapo vac. I'm very disappointed.
