Summary: I bought this vacuum at Costco after my first Dyson stopped working (because my husband sucked water with it and burned the motor). Because I love my first Dyson so much, I absolutely wanted another Dyson, and this one was fairly priced - still expensive though. But THIS ONE IS HORRIBLE!!
Summary: I'm disappointed with this Dyson. I also have the Dyson D24 which I love and use all the time. Compared to that, this has no suction on carpet. I bought it through one of the discount buying things (sorry don't remember which one) so I paid 1/2 price.
Summary: We have owned Dysons in the past, and liked them. This one, however, has been a complete dud. It clogs. It comes apart. It overheats. The only good thing about it is the compact lightweight easy to maneuver design.
Summary: I bought this vacuum because the hose of my old Hoover P.A.W.S. Windtunnel wouldn't stay in anymore. I saw this and 2 other units at Costco, a Dyson Cinetic Big Ball and a Dyson DC65 Animal, the main reason i purchased this particular vacuum was the cheapest of the three and had the best average...
Pros: I already have bigger DC14 and DC41, but this DC50 is small and light so I use it the most as I can navigate through furniture and tables more quickly. Suction is not powerful as larger unit, but good for its size.
Cons: Refurbished unit looks very used. Wished I had bought a new one for $50 more. Compared my other larger Dyson, this one feels flimsy as handles somewhat bends and does not have crisp curb feeling. I checked out same model at Home Depot and they all feel this way. It will not pickup anything size o...
Great suction for a small vacuum, didn't like the hose
23 February 2015
Summary: I thought this vacuum seemed like a quality vacuum, did a great job at making the carpet look great. There were no roller lines which I was very impressed with. It was light and easy to maneuver.
Summary: I used my DC 50 to pickup the cuttings from my shredder and lost all vacuum. The Dyson certified service person told me that this will happen with paper cuttings and Christmas tree needles every time. Service starts at $89.99 in SoCal.
Summary: It seams good and gets alot of dirt but im concerned with it getting to hot, the filters are clean and i cant see any obstructions
Pros: Light weight, simple setup, everything functional. Vacuumed my livingroom rug and got almost a canister they my old vac didnt. I love the way it turns on the ball. Hose is good to, long enough to clean my ceiling.
Cons: Has some scuffs and the clear plastic is clearly aged and not so clear in places, the handle to release the canister seems like it could brake if pulled a little to hard :/ and i dont know if Its normal or not but the left Side of the ball that contains the filter seemed to get really Hot. I dont...
Summary: When I first got this vacuum I cooed over it's suction abilities and even posted it online, and now my children and I HATE this machine! I would return it if I could; I think it's over the return time. It gets clogged SO QUICKLY!
