Summary: Great vacuum. Dyson makes quality products. It's easy to use, and I can't believe how much it picks up. I have a black lab that sheds a lot and it does a great job pick up the hair. Filters are easy to get and clean.
Summary: I've had this little vacuum for over a year now. Super lightweight and easy to use. After using my old dinosaur of a vacuum for so long, pushing this one around is a breeze. My favorite feature is the ease of emptying the dust/dirt collector.
Summary: I actually love how this vacuum picks up dirt. It is great on pet hair and is so easy to maneuver, but that isn't the issue I have with this vacuum. My only complaint, and it is a big one, is that it is made completely out of plastic.
Summary: This vacuum is heavy, hard to maneuver, flimsy and does not do as good of a job as by 5 year old $62 Eureka. The attachments are useless. They don't work, to use them you have to drag them out of storage because there is nowhere to store them on the vacuum.
Summary: The opening for the vacuum is too low, you can't roll over small shredded up cardboard from a cat scratch pad. The vacuum really just pushes it out of the way. Also, the opening that leads from the swivel to the container is way too small.
Summary: Owned the DC33 for years – still working and an excellent product. So I wholeheartedly recommended Dyson to a friend. Since the DC33 is obsolete, she bought the DC40. However the top handle cannot be pushed down all the way down smoothly.
Summary: Piece of junk. The head falls off constantly. It is brand new, I am an aircraft mechanic and assembled and reassembled it three times, and I am telling you do not buy this thing. It is junk and you will be very unhappy... like I am.
Summary: It didn't even work when I received it. The condition was not well described by the seller. I spent a couple of hours figuring out how it worked and found the issue: the tube between the intake and the dust bucket was blocked..
Summary: I purchased this from QVC about a year ago, after my Bissell finally lost it's suction. The Dyson, in my humble opinion, is overrated and HEAVY. That's probably because I am used to a lightweight vacuum, and this one is midsized, weighing in at 14.77 pounds (still lighter than some).
