Summary: Picks up dog hair like no other. Love these dyson standup vacuum cleaners, this is the second one I've bought. The rotating ball technology is great for vacuuming around corners. Highly recommended. Worth the money, will last you a lifetime.

Summary: IF YOU'VE NEVER USED A DYSON, YOUR RUGS ARE DIRTY! Not to insult you or anything, but the first time I used one, I discovered how poorly others work, especially for pet hair. I had a bad case of retroactive creeps thinking about how dirty my rugs had been for years! Dysons are worth every penny!
Summary: Initially I balked at the price of the Dyson, plus I was skeptical about the labeling of vacuums as being for pets. In my home, I have multiple cats and a rabbit, I need to have a vacuum that can keep up with my pets' mess. Cat litter and fur tend to be really hard on a vacuum.
Summary: I bought this because it was a great price and I love my Dysons (this is my 4th one). I have a DC 17, a DC 41, and a DC44 stick. I'm giving my 17 to my son because I wanted a lighter vacuum for my downstairs and I wanted the ball technology.
Summary: This is an awesome vacuum. We have 2 dogs and 4 cats, and this vacuum really gets the dirt and hair off the carpet. In addition, it's fantastic on bare floors. I can actually be proud of my floors again. The vacuum is very easy to use, it's light weight, and it is great with the pivoting.
Summary: Some of the bad reviews for the DC40 Animal had me worried but I love it. I have the DC7 Animal and although it still works great after 9 yrs the handle is starting to break. I was needing an old vacuum for my screened in porch so I decided to by the DC40 and use the DC7 for the grunt work.
