  • Summary: Initially I balked at the price of the Dyson, plus I was skeptical about the labeling of vacuums as being for pets. In my home, I have multiple cats and a rabbit, I need to have a vacuum that can keep up with my pets' mess. Cat litter and fur tend to be really hard on a vacuum. With my old vacuum, cat litter would be kicked back at me, and cat hair would frequently clog in the bends of the intake.

  • Summary: I typically never recomend products but after the first time I used it, I think I told at least 5 or 6 people about it!!!! It is the greatest Vacuum ever. I have 5 vacuums in my house as I have a home over 4500SF so they are in all areas (closets) in my house. I vacuumed my Master Bedroom about 3 days after the last time I did (with a different vacuum) and had to empty the container before I could go to the next room.

  • Summary: I bought this because it was a great price and I love my Dysons (this is my 4th one). I have a DC 17, a DC 41, and a DC44 stick. I'm giving my 17 to my son because I wanted a lighter vacuum for my downstairs and I wanted the ball technology. The 40 is perfect because it fits between legs of my kitchen chairs and barstools and is so easy to maneuver. It works just as good as my big Dysons. Would definitely recommend. 300 dollars is a great price for a Dyson!

  • Summary: This is an awesome vacuum. We have 2 dogs and 4 cats, and this vacuum really gets the dirt and hair off the carpet. In addition, it's fantastic on bare floors. I can actually be proud of my floors again. The vacuum is very easy to use, it's light weight, and it is great with the pivoting. My mom has a Dyson model as well and has had it for years with no problems.

  • Summary: Some of the bad reviews for the DC40 Animal had me worried but I love it. I have the DC7 Animal and although it still works great after 9 yrs the handle is starting to break. I was needing an old vacuum for my screened in porch so I decided to by the DC40 and use the DC7 for the grunt work. Some reviews stated that the suction was terrible but I have found that it is great. It is so easy to maneuver around things and is so much lighter than my old Dyson.

  • Summary: The ease with which this vacuum "rolls" over the floor makes using this vacuum cleaner far nicer than our previous vac. Our old bagless vac was still working ok, but it seems I could never get the right carpet height adjustment and it seemed as if I was always pushing and pulling it over the carpet. The Dyson DC40 self adjusts to the carpet or over the tile areas. I like the fact that the brush can be turned off when over tile and flat rugs if desired.
