Worth the price in the right circumstances

  • Summary: Buy it for hardwood floors if you can get a better-than-list price. Then buy the hardwood vaccuum head.
  • Pros: Lightweight, quick charge, good suction with the right vaccuum head on the right surface.
  • Cons: Expensive. The included carpet-brush vaccuum head reduces the effectiveness of the handheld.

Quirky, cool and pricey. In other words, it's a Dyson

  • Summary: Probably the best cordless vac. Well-designed, convenient & enjoyable to use. Also expensive, and yet not powerful enough to replace a full-sized floor vacuum, some of which cost much less.
  • Pros: Useful, clever design, with typical Dyson flair
  • Cons: Typical Dyson high price, not enough power to replace a floor vac

  • Cons: Rather expensive

Great

GTD1, Dyson

  • Summary: We bought the DC35 when we moved into our new house; a new gadget for our new place. Since buying it we have not plugged in our Dyson DC07 - that is now redundant. The DC35 is light and easy to use, it has adequate suction power - but only when the booster button on the back is on, this, coupled with the powered brush reduces the operating time between charges fairly considerably.
