Dyson DC26 City

Vacuum Wizard
29 October 2011
  • Conclusion: Who should buy this machine? If you have a smaller place with hard floors and short pile carpet, this Dyson is meant for you. Actually, if you have a smaller place and are allergic to pet dander, dust, or pollen, this vacuum is perfect.
  • Pros: Ultra lightweight, Does an excellent job cleaning hard flooring, HEPA filtration system, Quiet noise level, Powerful suction for a small machine, A good variety of cleaning attachments
  • Cons: Short cord is only 16.5 feet, Not great at cleaning medium to long pile carpeting, Turbine head is pretty narrow, Small dust bin at only 0.15 gallon capacity, Have to switch cleaning heads when transitioning from carpet to hard floor and vice versa

Dyson DC26 Review

Vaccum Cleaner Advisor
12 July 2011
  • Conclusion: The Dyson DC26 Multi-Floor City Vacuum Cleaner is the smallest canister vacuum Dyson manufacture and it is indeed small.  So much so that the body of the vacuum will fit on a letter sized sheet of paper.  It is also powerful (especially for its size) and, as one would expect rather light.
  • Pros: Strong suction for such a small machine, Tools and attachments couple and uncouple smoothly, Very lightweight and easy to carry, Good for small apartment dwellers, Able to vacuum in narrow areas, Dirt canister is easy to empty, Great looking machine, Not too noisy, A number of owners find it useful for cleaning their vehicles
  • Cons: Strong suction for such a small machine, Tools and attachments couple and uncouple smoothly, Very lightweight and easy to carry, Good for small apartment dwellers, Able to vacuum in narrow areas, Dirt canister is easy to empty, Great looking machine, Not too noisy, A number of owners find it useful for cleaning their vehicles

  • Excerpt: Sometimes a robot can’t do what good old fashioned manual labor can. The Neato XV-11, Roomba’s, Scooba’s, Mint, can be very convenient, yet cleaning steps or getting into ...
  • Pros: Compact, powerful, easy to stowaway. Includes great accessories like the articulating hard floor tool.
  • Cons: Performs just average on high pile carpeting. I wish the power button was on the wand handle. Pricey.

Dyson City DC26 vacuum cleaner

Pocket Lint
11 February 2010
  • Conclusion: The Dyson City DC26 is designed for those who live in a small urban space. Dyson, through a feat of engineering, have created a small vacuum cleaner (probably one of the smallest we've seen) that still gets the job done without having to revert to one of those Ewbank cleaners with no power and hours of pushing it around. So should you get one?
  • Pros: Cleaner unit is small, changeable filters, bagless design, powerful
  • Cons: Accessories make it big, cable long but not that long
