Summary: I paid roughly $370.00 for this product, being that I primarily have hard wood floors in my home, it didn't do too bad for about 2 months. As soon as the Walmart warranty was up, it was done. I've still used, it as it's the only one I have and 1.5 years later the entire Engine has gone out.
Summary: I have a Dyson Animal that I have had for a few years - they say it never loses it suction - HA HA HA HA. Mine has quit picking up anything but dust. I have an old Eureka that picks up better than this Dyson. My Eureka is still working, my Dyson croaked. I will be buying a new vacuum soon, but it will not be a Dyson.
Doesn't suck well, dog hair got stuck inside and outside!

Summary: I had a DYSON pet vacuum that worked great for 8 years- until it broke. I got this one, and was VERY disappointed. It was brand new and it doesn't suck very well-it was NOT sucking up small things from the carpet. We have a yellow lab dog (short, thin hair)and the dog hair was getting clogged constantly in the spinner brush. The dog hair was also all over the outside of the vacuum like a magnet!
Summary: I have always raved about the Dyson brand and have joked about how I should sell Dysons because of my passion for them. I had a DC17 for seven years before the motor gave out. I vacuum every other day and ran out and bought this model asap. After using it once, I boxed it up and returned it. The lighter weight was appreciated, however, I feel the weight also took away some of the pressure applied to the carpet.
Dyson products are not what their marketing team says...

Summary: I bought a Dyson DC24 Animal and at first was satisfied that it would do it's job but that didn't last long. I will give it credit for being quiet and light but that's about it. My first question is who in their right mind designs a canister release button to be the same button to release the canister trap door?
Summary: I like the concept of the DC24, that being said, I would not reccommend it for purchase. When it works, it's great(very lightweight and efficient), but I find it to be very frustrating to use. Since there are no printed instructions, you must rely on the pictures for both assembly and maintenance.
Summary: Had this been the first vacuum from Dyson I had ever purchased I would never, EVER have recommended the Dyson brand to any of my family members. My dc07 broke the other day and I was extremely sad. That was by and far the best vacuum I had ever used in my life up until my new vacuum was delivered from UPS last night. I was super excited to open up the Dyson dc24 Animal vacuum. I have a Siberian Huskie/Border Collie mix dog and she sheds super bad.
Clogs easily & is hard to unclog, not worth the money!!!

Summary: Dyson DC24 Animal Compact Upright Vacuum Cleaner I have owned 9 vacuum cleaners from $100 to $2300 over the past 29 years to find the right one. My conclusion: it does not exist or I have not found it. The Dyson DC 24 Animal is not "It", either. Here is why: Loss of suction after using it for maybe 3 months, no amount of filter cleaning and washing or hose unclogging (which is not easy) - it is just not the same as when it came out of the box.
Summary: After used 3 years, the dyson cleaner(dc24) was not sucking well. I called the dyson warranty center and they accepted my warranty to fix the issue. I had to pay $40 to show the cleaner to service center. After looking at the problem, the dyson service center said that under the warranty, it can be fixed after paying extra $175. Warranty costs $175? Shame on you Dyson. 1. Dyson, paying $175 is not warranty in US. 2.
Summary: I bought this product recently and promptly returned it. It's problems are numerous, and I would advise any prospective buyer of this product to consider the following: - the "animal" is pretty small and if you are 6' or taller, you will need to stoop uncomfortably to use this vacuum - the vacuum's suction is pretty mediocre and was completely ineffective on a medium pile Persian carpet.
