Summary: I purchased this non-OE brushroll because it got overall good reviews. It lasted for 5 months of normal use, (vacuuming once a week) and then failed. The worst part is when it seized up it burned up the new belt I had replaced at the same time. The return policy is only 30 days so beware. This is why you are often better off paying more for the OE parts. Now I have to pay 50% more for the roller plus a new belt!
Summary: year and a half later it works but it is getting loud. I use it once a week for sure and sometimes twice a week. I always keep it clean . i guess for 16 dollars it lasted ( still working but loud) long enough.
Summary: Fast and easy to install. Don't make the mistake I did. Buy a new belt to. This cleans so good and hard, it snapped my old belt. Went to a local store and bought a new belt for a higher price, and now it works great. Saved over $10 dollar ordering here, fast shipping.
Summary: I was hesitant to purchase parts from anywhere but Dyson until I read the reviews here (and saw the prices Dyson wanted for their parts). I purchased this because mine looked like it had been in a fight with a blender (and lost). I replaced the rollerbrush and belt (also purchased on Amazon), and my overpriced awesome Dyson runs good as new now. I highly recommend this product.
Summary: Running quiet after I also put on a new belt. Thought the rattle was a defective brush but a new belt got everything running quiet like new. Vacuum is 7 years old and motor pulley showing some wear, may no longer tolerate belt wear. Thought this new brush was the problem, it wasn't.
