Summary: Have used it about a year now. Battery is enough to vacuum my car easily (large SUV). the motorhead is great and vacuum suction power is unbelievable. The only minus is the motorhead that broke down after 3 months. Got a new replacement part under warranty fairly quickly.
Summary: I wasn't sure that a portable vacuum that cost as much as the Dyson would be any better than a cheaper choice, but it's worth it. The suction power is great and the cleaning of it is just like the big version. We have the larger, plug in Dyson and it has not lost suction in five years!
Summary: I will succintly state that Dyson is my favorite manufacturer of vacuums. This handheld is extremely powerful and you don't need to push it into the carpet--it will practically pull it up if it's a low profile.
Summary: I actually bought the one that costs $267. What a poorly thought out piece of junk! Do NOT waste your money. First off, the charge only lasts 3 minutes! That's right, THREE minutes! And I didn't even use the turbo function. You have never seen anyone clean as fast as I did. I tried anyway.
Summary: I have had an upright Dyson Animal for about 8 years. You will have to pry it from my hands after I die. I am sure it will still be running strong long after the world ends. I am so happy to finally have a hand held vac that works as well as the upright.
Summary: I recently acquired two long-haired cats. This has been a godsend for quick cleanups on days I don't want to get the full-size Dyson cleaner out. The 6-minute charge is plenty for me. I have also found it a lot handier for vacuuming stairs and furniture, and even screens!
Summary: I purchased the DC-16 Animal to compliment my DC-14 upright. Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase. It takes less than a minute to clean up small spills, especially on counters hardwood floors - much faster than pulling out the upright, unwinding the cord, plugging it in, etc.
