Summary: The 2 vacuumes i've owned previously to this was a hoover wind tunnel in 2001, & a kirby (which is too heavy) I prefer the bagless. So I so happened to see someone was selling this online & they brought it to my home so I could test it out on my carpet & I had just vacuumed before they arrived & to my shock I vacuumed my entire home & it picked up all sorts of dirt clearly imbedded in the carpet & I vacuum twice a week since it's just me & my son that live here.
Summary: I hate that this vacuum does not have a dial to raise/lower it to all different floor types. I have owned my Dyson for 3 years, and I tend to use my Eureka instead. Because there is only one position when the roller is on, it doesn't work for medium-pile carpet, causing the roller to get completely covered in carpet fibers after just once use. When the roller is covered in carpet fibers, it doesn't pick anything else up.
Summary: You might even dream of owning your own Dyson Vacuum Cleaner, but the cost of the product makes you more likely to buy another. Let me assure you the cost is worth it. My husband bought my vacuum for me for our anniversary in 2004. Most women would be appalled but I really really wanted one. I have now owned the same vacuum now 8 years and it is still working great. I have even made my own repairs on my Dyson DC14 Animal after the 5 year warranty expired.
Summary: Bought one for my daughter, then one for me and this my third purchase for daughter #2. We love them and use them to clean up after dogs and boys. When it lugs down after a while, take it apart and clean with a paper towel to get rid of residual dust particles, my hubby does it with the air compressor...Lasts forever. Great gift.
Owned for 2 years without a single issue. Couldn't be happier!

Summary: I have used my Dyson DC14 upright several times a week on carpets, rugs, and hard surface flooring throughout my home for over 2 years, and have not had one issue to report with anything going wrong with this vacuum. In fact, other than emptying the debris container, and washing the removable filter, the only other maintenance that I have encountered is wiping it down to clean it!
Summary: I would not recommend this vacuum to anyone. It says multi-floor but it will not do rugs without giving you a horrific grinding noise. It's heavy and you need to be strong to use the extension hose. It keeps wanting to coil back and takes quite a bit of strenght to keep extended. Suction is great and the canister is easy to empty but that is where the pluses end for this machine. Recently, I had a problem with the power switch.
Summary: I bought without manual to some degree my fualt but.... I think it is over designed. I dont want a frinken space ship to impress my neighbors. I want to vacume. Power button not easy to find. Buttons latches other odd things make it not intutive to figure out. Right now looking for a power or switch to stopp sucking from pole and start doing the floor. I am getting totally annoyed. I may eventually figure it out. Lots of pieces.
Summary: These are the worst designed Vacuums on the market... don't let the cool shape fool you.. the parts are inferior and the electrical components will burn out or you will overload the motor in no time. I have had a Hoover Power Elite for over 20 years... no problems.. I have a Dyson DC07 All Floors.. died in 4 years.... His stuff is crap....don't let the eye popping candy commercials full you... over priced garbage....
Summary: My vacuum was still under the 5 year warranty when the mini turbine head quit on me. I called Dyson directly, not to utilize my warranty but to BUY a replacement part. However, their service reps told me, on several different calls, that they had no record of me nor of my properly registered purchase, even while I sat at my computer looking at my online profile on their site with my purchase information. To blatantly lie to me was inexcusable.
Summary: I bought this vacuum because I have two cats, a lot of carpeting and I wanted the best, however, I'm very disappointed in its performance. It works just as well but not better than my last vacuum cleaner that only cost 150$. For the price of the Dyson, I assumed it would pick up everything it went over, yet it doesn't.
