The HEPA filtration system that is standard on the DC07 far exceeds both bagged and bag–less competitors. The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America has certified the HEPA filtration system on the Dyson DC07 upright to be thorough enough for recommendation for asthma and allergy sufferers. The HEPA filter, which requires no replacement, collects dirt and dust particles, mold, bacteria, and airborne allergens and prevents them from recycling back into the air. Read more
When it was new it worked great, was easy to use and did a great job on the hard floors. It had a pretty hard life, when I got it we were starting to build our house and had no kids, by the time it died it had cleaned up all the building messes and I had a 2 and 4 year old. It probably sucked up a fair bit of water without me meaning to. Customer service was fantastic, just a phone call away and very willing to help out. Read more
The price on the Dyson Vacuum was a little high in comparison to other vacuums that I’ve used and seen demonstrations for. Even though it has terrific suction, is bagless and has attachments, I think that the Dyson Vacuum could be priced a little more affordably for the people that clean the house. This particular model ran around $300. Read more
Got my DC07 about 5 years ago and thought it was the greatest vacuum ever. Slowly over time, however, (sorry dude on the commercial) it does indeed lose suction. The filters must be changed (ALL of them) and/or cleaned and it still doesn't do what the old Orecks do at our church. Today we bought a Riccar. It's made in the USA, and it vacuums better than the Oreck! So you know the Dyson doesn't have a chance against it. My rugs haven't been this clean in years. Read more
I've had the DC 07 for almost 2 years. It's impressive on how much it sucks from the carpets and it's easy to empty the canister. But if you have more bare/hardwood flooring than carpeting, the DC07 would not be the best vacuum cleaner for your home. Other reviewers rave of how it doesn't suck up small items and rugs when the setting is on "floor" but the problem is that it doesn't pick up anything off the floor or rugs, either, unless you use the attachments... I love this Dyson. I was hesitant about getting it online, and I chatted with someone online. I decided to take the plunge and spend more on a vacuum than my first car, but oh well. I ordered it in April and it came quickly (and I must say I love the shipping charge!!) and I tried it out right away. I vacuumed my favorite rug that I thought was already clean. WOW!!! Read more

Question about the mini turbine head... it looks as if it should attach to something - even has a release button at the top - but it only squeezes onto the hose or extender... am I missing something? When attached to the hose or extender is constantly loosens up and stops spinning due to lose of suction. It seems odd that it has a latch without anything to 'latch' to. Can anybody explain?

I am about to purchase a Dyson DC-07 and just saw on the UK website that the specific model is end of line (other way of saying discontinued). We have no pets, just a few rags, but our flat does get a lot of dust and I am quite sensitive to that. Can someone advise if there is a newer better model than DC-07? Thanks
