Summary: I borrowed this vacuum from my mother when my very expensive vacuum with all the bells and whistles broke. I have a many animals and could never find a vacuum that sucked up all the hair. I was so shocked that this vacuum did a better job then my expensive vacuum. It sucked up the pet hair with no effort at all. I did not have to keep going over the same area over and over again. One swipe and it sucked up all the hair. It is a great little vacuum for the price.
Summary: I bought this today and LOVE IT!!! I can't believe how much dirt, dust, and hair this little thing picks up!! I am also pregnant and for also being lightweight it makes vacuuming a breeze (my old vacuum weighed a ton and was hard to push). I don't regret making this $40 purchase!!
Summary: Lightweight and compact, easy to control using one hand. Work perfectly for my 2-br apartment (all area with carpet covered except kitchen and bathrooms). So easy to keep my home carpet clean. Exceed my expectations actually cos I didn't know such a lightweight vacuum cleaner can be so powerful to get its job done! Easy to take care of after its cleaning work. Love it so much. Definite worth the money!
Lightweight with great suction, but terribly flawed

Summary: This is a lightweight vacuum that is good for small areas that are cleaned frequently. Because it is lightweight, it is good for direct use on stairs. However if you have children and/or pets and you can only vacuum once a week this will not do the job. It doesn't get down into the carpet very well and the motor shaft is too short causing the belt to burn out quickly.
Summary: We bought this vacuum for a small vacuum around the house. To catch the floor rugs and little messes. We have a very large, very expensive vacuum that we can not use on floor rugs as it sucks them right off the floor. I ran this little vacuum over the carpet after I vacuumed it first with our big vacuum. This little vacuum picked up a ton of stuff out of the carpet that the big vacuum missed. I was amazed at how good this thing worked. I am very pleased with it so far.
Summary: We had this vacuum for slightly over the one year warranty period. The belt stopped turning and when I took the belt cover off I could see a large clump of carpet fibers stuck between the belt and the roller in a large crevice under the cover. The motor is burned out, and the whole thing should have been desined NOT to allow debris to collect near the belt.
Summary: Compact is a way different term than "microscopic". This tiny vacuum has a canister that is only 4" across and a cleaning path that is extremely narrow. It picked up dust off the carpet but not dog hair. This is the second vacuum I have bought from walmart.com in two months and both were duds.... The Dirt Devil Dynamite II compact looks like something I had as a toy when I was 6 years old...
