Summary: I was tired of the hassle of lugging out a heavy, long corded upright vacuum for small cleanups. In addition, the upright does not do a very good job on tile or hardwood floors. So I decided to try a small corded or battery vacuum. While I was skeptical about the suction on a battery powered vacuum, I didn’t want the hassle of a cord. After some research, I decided to try this model Dirt Devil Cordless Vac. What a great choice!
This will not take the place of a full size vacuum

Summary: Forget the write up in a consumer magazine - this is nothing but an average dust buster with a long handle. On the plus side, it was very easy to assemble out of the box and it looks nice. Basically is will only be effective for loose items on the floor - lint, small pieces of dirt. The rotating brush is completely ineffective. If you want a 'portable' vacuum, you'll probably need to spend a few bucks more.
Summary: I have two young kids that make a mess when they eat, so I wanted a small and light cordless stick vac. This one is a great choice since it picks up well (the 15.6V was the minimum power I would consider), has a brushroll with an on/off setting, and a convenient stand charger. This vacuum is compact and will fit in small spaces, and the base has a handy pivot action for turning. It's simple to clean the dustbin as well.
Summary: I am a recent paraplegic due to a spinal cord injury, and became frustrated every time i needed to vacuum. Wrangling the cord, the weight of my upright, no swivel head...I dreaded the task. We have 2 German Shepherds and 3 cats so I previously vacuumed every other day to stay on top of the fur. After my injury, I couldn't bear the frustration that often, so began looking at cordless vacs. After reading the reviews on numerous models, I settled on this Dirt Devil..
Pros: lightweight, cordless makes it a breeze for me in my wheelchair, easy to empty, swivel head works great on all surfaces, great suction for pet hair on all surfaces
Cons: usage time is only 15+/- minutes, charge time is 6 hours
Summary: I have a house mainly floored with either tile or hardwood and three dogs. This vacuum is powerful, lightweight and very convenient to use. Don't know what I did before I got it. Really like this product....
Summary: It's Ok for quick and small pick ups. I bought it for quick pick-ups for cat litter. It works well until it is turned off. Then the last bit of litter falls out. Other that that, it works well.
Summary: It did everything just as advertised. It was great on the rugs and the floor. On that merit I was very pleased. BUT It was so loud I should have had ear-plugs. I returned it. The next day I found one on the internet for $40.00 less. (That hurt) But I assumed it would also be too loud. So I am without a vacuum , just my trusted broom.
Summary: We've tried a number of lightweight sweepers/vacs in the past 20 years. Sure, we own very expensive, ultra high powered vacs that are superb, but are so bulky and heavy that neither one of us wants to dig it out of the closet just for quick cleanup or quick sweeping of the uncarpeted floors, so we started trying lightweight battery powered sweeper, and even a few old fashioned push sweepers that our mom's used to use when we were kids.
