Summary: So compact and handy. I love that it can suck up both wet/dry. I use it to pick up after my rabbit & it is so much easier than getting out the full-sized vacuum. Battery obviously doesn't last insanely long, but I can use it for a good amount (2-3 days of quick pick ups). The suction is powerful. If you feel like it isn't sucking up well even with a charged battery, try checking to see if your filter is clogged.
Summary: I intended to use this for my car, but it wasn't very useful for the small spaces despite being handheld. It's very lightweight and the battery lasts for a long time. It's simple to empty the contents and to clean the filter (basically just a rinse and let dry). This is especially handy when I babysit and there's a spill or small messes after the kids leave.
Summary: I ordered the dust buster because I have birds and seed go everywhere. I was amazed on how powerful this vacuum is. It not only picks up the seeds but anything else that is around. Spilled some water and it picked up the water with no problem. It picked up glass that I broke from a fiber optic flower that was encased in glass. It picked up even the smallest piece to the biggest ones. Great investment.
WE HAD TO THROW IT AWAY after just two or three uses!!

Summary: DISCOVERED WHAT WE CAN ONLY ASSUME IS A DESIGN FLAW, unfortunately: In just normal use after only two or three tries it sucked up some lint and debris from off the floor that went easily through the vacuum mouth but then SOMEHOW shot right through whatever protective membrane one would imagine there should have been and lodged in the motor. The thing froze up! Motor stuck like a car in a snowdrift. Basically not good for anything after that.
Summary: I had a former Dustbuster that was terrific. Had it for ten years and it finally bit the dust. Bought this thing and it is totally worthless. It has almost no vacuuming ability especially compared to the previous Dustbuster I had. With ten years having gone by I had no way to compare the current models to the one I had. They all look different. Don't waste your money on this one.
Summary: Great little vac! Very impressed. PROs: VERY lightweight and quite ergonomic, which is crucial for anyone with wrist issues. Quiet and easy to use around 6 or 7 rooms for a half hour straight. Good capacity and suction for the compact size and voltage. Can pull in dust fron a few inches away so corners are no problem without the wand. Charger is nice and compact too.
This seems to be a good replacement for the original Dustbuster I had for 10-15 ...

Summary: This seems to be a good replacement for the original Dustbuster I had for 10-15 years and is about to die. 9610 is quieter, has about the same suction power, handier size, works with liquid spills. One problem, same as with the original. We use it regularly to pick up blobs of cat hair, and within a day or two the filter is 100% covered with cat hair. Happily, that only slightly reduces the suction (!) but it's bothersome.
External plug-in charger is a step backwards from earlier designs

Summary: The suction is fine. However, who wants a wall mounted, easily accessible had vac that has an external plug and wire as the way to keep it charged. The unit this was to replace was an older B&D that when placed in its wall-mounted holder, also charges and kept charged. Having to un-plur and re-plug a charger wire wvey time you want to use it is a step BACKWARDS from earlier designs. When I saw that I immediately boxed it back up for return.
