Summary: I have had this vacuum for several years now. It was purchased as a replacement for a Bravo bagging vacuum. Having several pets in the home it takes no time for the collection container to fill with cat hair and dirt. Overall the cleaning ability is impressive. What I failed to realize until after purchasing is that you have to completely take all components of the collection and filtering system off of the vacuum in a location outside the house so you can pull any...
Summary: We got this vacuum a few weeks ago. It cleans like a dream. Was easy to put together. Is easy to use. Was not at all expensive and doesn't even take bags. It's not too hard to empty. Sounds perfect, right? The problem is that the thing is so extremely loud. It's deafening - the loudest vacuum I have ever heard. I'm actually concerned it could harm our hearing and despite its really great features and cleaning, am thinking about getting rid of it for something less loud.
Summary: I think the quality of the vacuum is as much as it costs. Mine broke after a few weeks and the "belt" had to be changed already. It works but doesnt do much of a deeper cleaning. It is also quite heavy.
Summary: I found the BISSELL CleanView Helix a nice opening vacuum cleaner. It is simple and easy to set up for a through cleaning floor cleaning job regardless of the type of floor being cleaned. The proof of success is shown in the sizeable dirt collector. I tested it by first cleaning the carpeting with another vacuum so that I would have at least 90% of the dirt collected before I used the CleanView.
Summary: After owning Eurekas for over 30 years, I decided to try this Bissell when my latest Eureka died. I did quite a bit of research and liked many of the features for this machine. I also liked the pricetag of $99.99. The main selling point for me was the "extra long power cord". I live in a medium-small apartment and the cord on my last two Eurekas was just about 3 feet too short. The cord on this Bissell is at least 5 feet SHORTER than that.
Summary: This is a good vacuum. Good suction, easy to empty. Works great on floors and carpets. But, and I'm surprised I haven't seen this in more comments, it spews dust if you want to use the detachable parts. If you want to use the wand or brush, you detach the hose from the bottom part that vacuums the floor. However, once you turn the vacuum on, you get suction in both the hose and the floor-cleaning part.
Summary: I wanted a second cleaner so that I wouldn't have to lug a machine between floors. This fits the bill as an upright and performs well. The vacuum hose is so short that it's a joke. I tried to use the attachments once and its a waste of time. In addition, dirt was exhausted from the storage port for the hose. Unbelieveable! The handle is nothing but a cheap piece of molded plastic. The electical cord is attached to the middle of the machine, as is the on/off switch.
Summary: The Bissell 22C1 does an excellent job in cleaning carpets and I like the fact that you do not have to change bags. It is rather noisy and heavy to maneuver. Because of the noise I would give this vacuum 3 stars out-of 5. I purchased this product, among many other products, from Amazon, which offers excellent service.
