Nice little thumb drive but ...

Carise "Carise", Amazon
26 March 2010
  • Summary: Bought this because it was thin. Couldn't fit both my mouse and my other drive in adjacent slots. It's good and fast but the first time I pulled it out of the slot, it separated. the drive was still in the slot and I was holding the plastic housing only.

Compared to Kingston...slower with my use.

Robert of Niagara "Robert", Amazon
20 October 2009
  • Summary: I have Transend SD cards (Class 6) that I put in USB holders and they are fast and similiar in transfer speed as avi's to a USB..Kingston I bought 2 of the 8gb USB and I noticed they are slower than the Kingston USB. I transfer avi's to them. Anyone else notice this? Update..

Nice design, reliability questionable

J. E. Vandergriff, Amazon
31 August 2009
  • Summary: I really like the design/styling of the Transcend JetFlash V30. The color coding for memory capacity is a nice touch, nothing new, but helpful. As beautiful as they are, they do scuff up quickly. Speed wise, no complaints. Reasonable performance for price.

  • Summary: The only problem we've encountered -- but it is annoying -- is that a light remains on in the device even when it's inactive. I don't know what the light means. Normally, the light should go off when the product isn't doing anything,

Another early, unexplained flash drive death

steven, Amazon
4 December 2007
  • Summary: Like another customer this product died after a little over a month. 1.5 gbs of data are now gone. I was using it on a daily basis at work, and for no apparent reason, one morning when I plugged it into my PC, it just would not work.

Your documents saved in a flash

abbadabba..., Ciao
11 January 2012
  • Excerpt: Having a memory stick is so common now; I don't know many people who don't have one. They can obviously be used for a variety of uses dependant on the owner. Anything from storing pictures, files, music and more.
  • Pros: thin in design
  • Cons: easy to lose lid
