Love it!

  • Summary: I mainly bought this to transfer music from pc to laptop and play music in my car stereo. If there's one thing I hate doing, it's waiting for files to transfer, especially large files like lossless music files.
  • Pros: Pay for what you get. ~100 MB/s transfer speed of .wav files!!! Backwards compatible with usb 2.0.
  • Cons: Casing has a cheap feel to it and it get's pretty warm when plugged into my computer. I actually thought it looked similar to carbon fiber from the picture, but it's not. Wish it had the slide out style instead of having a cap. I only tested with .wavs and not large HD movies....sorry didn't have...

User Review

  • Summary: Very satisfied for the price, would buy again.
  • Pros: Looks nice, cheap, speeds are as advertised (got 95 mbps read and 21 mbps write).
  • Cons: The cap isn't attached and is easy to lose, but I don't think that's worth knocking off a star.

corrupted twice. data gone.

David M., Newegg

  • Summary: This drive has a problem and is not useable. Other flash drives work fine for years. For example my old Patriot XT 16GB survived the washer and dryer and having the USB connector bent over a bit. This one is new, it just sat on the shelf at work and quit after using it 4 times.
  • Pros: Fast, decent construction, USB 2.0 and 3 compatibility
  • Cons: Worked fine for a month. then windows 7 said no partition found. Tried on 2nd computer with XP also. Was unable to repair or locate partition using advanced partitioning tools (testdisk via boot CD, HxD, UBCDWin tools, etc). HxD Hexidecimal editor shows random data on the drive with no partition ...

2 worked, 1 DOA

  • Summary: Ordered 3, two seem to work, one was DOA (it kinda sorta sometimes works). I have tried it numerous times. This really concerns me that the others may die - I prefer to use USB memory versus DVDs because of my (perceived) view that USB is more reliable, but now I'm concerned.

An Excellent Fast Flash Drive

JOSEPH D., Newegg
5 August 2013
  • Pros: This USB 3.0 flash drive lives up to its rated speeds. It's especially useful if you want to install an operating system via USB. Keep in mind that if you don't use a USB 3.0 port on your computer it won't run at full speed; however, it will still be faster than your average flash drive.
  • Cons: 8 GB for $16 means you are paying for the speed of the flash drive and not the capacity. In my opinion, the speed is worth the extra price even if you can get 16 GB for the same price.
