Summary: The plastics on this drive haven't really held up very well. The tiny board has a rather loose fit in the plastics, and it often takes a little jiggling to get it to come up properly in some systems. One it is working, it works great though. Good speed, and good capacity.
Summary: I bought this flash drive because I needed additional storage, in that respect it works well. On the downside it is small, black and hasn't any place to attach a lanyard or keychain, easily misplaced!
LOOSE -- in theory a good drive, but has serious problems

Summary: I returned mine, though I "wanted" to keep it. The drive is unnervingly loose in the USB port, and indeed I'd had to jiggle it around just to get it to make contact -- a fatal flaw. My ports are fine and I've no such issues with any other drive. Probably related to the above, the drive would suddenly vanish from my system -- show no files -- then reappear. Whatever the cause, it was wholly unreliable, and therefore useless.
Pros: The transfer speeds are still quite fast, and I still like the compact design.
Cons: About two weeks ago, data on the flash drive started getting corrupted while in use. This isn't specific to any PC or console, as I use it on the go quite a bit. I am careful to use the Safely Remove Hardware option before I disconnect it from any PC. This is becoming quite an issue, as I can't watch videos, listen to music, etc. since this problem is becoming more prevalent.
Summary: There is a very large disparity in the read/write speeds of thumb drives on the market today. I purchased the 16GB version of this drive, and HDTune measures a read speed of 29MB/s. I am able to write a 558MB file to the thumb drive at ~10-12MB/s. This is pretty quick compared to the majority of the drives on the market. If speed were the only consideration involved in a flash drive purchase, The Transcend JetFlash 600 would earn five stars.
Summary: This review is for the PortableApps.com community. I bought this to see if it would be a suitable replacement for my current USB, which is a 4Gb Super Talent 200X. So I'm disappointed to say that it's not fast enough to run Portable Applications. The speed is as advertised for the sequential R/W (16Gb version). However the other speeds are much slower than my current USB, which caused the Portable Applications to freeze constantly, sometimes for as long as a minute.
