Summary: It works fast, but it is much slower than it is advertised. When I received the flash drives I had bought, I noticed that the package did NOT say 15 MB/s write speed. Instead, it said that it had 5 MB/s write speed. This reading is fairly accurate as my computer (mid to high end) typically runs from 5 - 6.8 MB/s. It would be nice to get what I thought I paid for.
Summary: Worked fine for four months then suddenly one day it stopped working, at all. No light, no drive mounted. I barely used the thing and took good care of it, so I'm a little unimpressed. Purchased February 2013.
Summary: Its a standard USB stick. The "included applications" are actually a download from the Transcend website after you register the flash drive on their website, and I found no use for any of them. Transfer speeds are fine, but the hole on the USB stick is much smaller than most I've worked with so it broke from my normal keyring after several months. No issues with the stick itself though and the cap stays on with normal use in my experience even on my keyring.
Excerpt: I have both USB2 and USB3 ports on my sytem and thought I would take advantage of the available higher transfer speed with this flash drive. The first one I received just did not work in any of my ports, but the second one (sent free of charge by B&H to replace the defective one... you guys are the best!) works only in my USB3 ports (it is not even detected in the USB2 ports).
