Not all that it's piped up to be.

Josiah Gerken, Amazon
25 March 2014
  • Summary: It works fast, but it is much slower than it is advertised. When I received the flash drives I had bought, I noticed that the package did NOT say 15 MB/s write speed. Instead, it said that it had 5 MB/s write speed.

It's okay flash drive.

Paul Le, Amazon
10 March 2014
  • Summary: Cheap and does the job, but it does not have very fast read or write speed for a USB 3.0 flash drive.

Lots of storage but issues, read on...

Mort, Amazon
6 November 2013
  • Summary: This will often see files corrupted when pulling it from a windows machine. Although I know I should safely eject it the other 50 flash drives from various manufacturers do not suffer from this issue. Buyer beware.

Worked well for 4 months

Maxim B. Howell, Amazon
15 July 2013
  • Summary: Worked fine for four months then suddenly one day it stopped working, at all. No light, no drive mounted. I barely used the thing and took good care of it, so I'm a little unimpressed. Purchased February 2013.

Acceptable but there's nothing secretly amazing

Ethan, Amazon
28 December 2012
  • Summary: Its a standard USB stick. The "included applications" are actually a download from the Transcend website after you register the flash drive on their website, and I found no use for any of them.

not USB2 compatible on my system

Gilgamesh, B&H Photo
25 July 2012
  • Excerpt: I have both USB2 and USB3 ports on my sytem and thought I would take advantage of the available higher transfer speed with this flash drive. The first one I received just did not work in any of my ports, but the second one (sent free of charge by B&H to replace the defective one...

not 100% compatible to usb 2

BRIAN N., Newegg
30 May 2012
  • Pros: fast writing speed, I think. I bought it based on a review.
  • Cons: Not readable by some usb 2 port. An HP pc did not read it, a dell pc did recognize it. My 18 months mac pro will not read it in the front 2 ports, but the back ports recognize it. Nor my co-worker's year old iMac. Not sure if I am going to keep it.

USB 3.0 with 2.0 Speeds

William E., Newegg
8 February 2011
  • Summary: On a side note im a little disappointed that Newegg didn't post its average read/write speeds. I may have purchased another flash drive had i known in advance that i wouldnt see too much if any of a difference.
  • Pros: Price isn't bad for an 8GB usb 3.0 flashdrive.
  • Cons: As the title suggests, this is a USB 3.0 flash drive, but when comparing speeds between my usb 3.0 drives and my usb 2.0 drives i didnt see a difference in read or write times. Average Read was around 40MBps and average read was about 15MBps. While this is an improvement over my other usb 2.0 dri...
