Question: Super Talent Pico-E v. Pico-C flash drive

Is there a reason why the Pico-E has a sliding lid? Does this mean that the Pico-C is not durable and will scratch and lose data?Willowbean

Yes, the one with the Sliding lid is needed to protect the contact and I think the one without the sliding lid is not needed to protect the contact.

That means I've wasted my money buying a Pico-C. Unless I keep it in a pristine container the contacts are going to be ruined. Be warned any other poor consumers who are thinking of getting a Pico-C.

The sliding lid protects the contacts and the body of the stick where the memory chips are kept, in a chromed enclosure, with the Super Talent logo on top.

I'm actually looking for an answer to this too. I am debating between the two and the fact that they sell one that has a sliding lid leads me to believe that it is needed to protect the contacts. Can anyone answer this question?
