SWEEET

erik h., Newegg
27 March 2007
  • Summary: It would be better if it came with a better traveling clip, and not the rubber one, im afraid to rip it off my key chain. (Havnt used the compression software, so i cant say much about that area.)
  • Pros: Freakin Tiny, which is sweet. Was recognized in my vista's ultimate as ready boost and works great.
  • Cons: Again Freakin Tiny. lol

Chris B., Newegg

It is what it says it is

Daniel J., Newegg
5 March 2007
  • Summary: It's not like you're forced to use the compression software, just get rid of it. I've had this for quite a while and it's fun to own. It's never failed in the ~8 months I've had it.
  • Pros: It's small, you can fit it in your wallet; won't put annoying bulges in your pocket. A gig is plenty of memory (for most people)
  • Cons: Easily lost (it's... really small). If you lend it to someone, they usually don't know that it goes into the USB port. Seems like it'll break if you bend it at all.

Sony Tiny Drive

Anonymous, Newegg
22 December 2006
  • Summary: Nice little USB bus drive that I'm sure I will lose shortly. A standard bus drive has a metal shroud over the contact and the insertion hole is large enough to accept that rectangular shroud.
  • Pros: Compact, 1GB Storage Space
  • Cons: No metal cover over USB contacts requires more careful insertion to make contact. Compression software of little value.

good enough for a college kid

Haruka K., Newegg
23 October 2006
  • Pros: Very small and stylish. For a college girl, this is actually pretty important... Anyways, this is good enough for me. Plus, the $xx rebate makes it a pretty good deal for a Sony product.
  • Cons: There are faster flash drives out there for cheaper.

Pretty nice, but not perfect

David M., Newegg
19 October 2006
  • Summary: Maybe I should have purchased an extreme 2 SD duo (USB + SD in one card).
  • Pros: One of the smallest USB thumb drives that I have seen for this storage size. USB 2.0.
  • Cons: No built in loop holder for keyrings and lanyards. It does come with a holster, but it is a little flamboyant (same with the useless sticker pack). Preloaded compression software only slows down the read/write times for only a little bit of positive results--a waste of speed and space. Not as inc...

A good drive for somebody looking for something portable.

ChewyBacon, Dooyoo
9 February 2010
  • Excerpt: This is a brilliant drive for somebody looking for an extremely small and portable storage option. However, you should explore other options if you aren't looking for this. The device is easy to use, compact and colourful, but easy to lose and without a USB cover, the connector can become easily...

A brilliant memory stick for those that want something a bit different

_lauren_, Dooyoo
10 November 2008
  • Excerpt: I bought this memory stick a couple of months back and loved it. It is great value for money, and although I had read in previous reviews that the file transfer rate was slow, I didn't find this was the case at all.

  • Pros: Stylish design .  Available in a variety of colours .

A great memory device

super-noodles, Dooyoo
18 June 2008
  • Excerpt: I first bought my micro vault tiny over a year ago when it was yet to be released in the UK. In fact I bought mine off Ebay, it came all the way from Hong Kong, China and took ages to arrive. I was first attracted to this memory stick because of its size; its tiny!!
