Great, Fast jump drive
Nolan Hannigan, Amazon
4 August 2014
Summary: Ordered this drive in June 2013 and have loved it since then. Blazing fast speeds (I can copy large files quickly and lots of small files quickly, sorry no actual numbers). I really enjoy this drive. It is larger than other drives that I have owned, but it makes it harder to lose or forget it's in your pocket (then wash it). I pack it around in my pocket most days and it has stood up to the abuse. Good, solid click when the USB is extended for plugging into the computer.
Summary: I probably just got a bad unit but I'm a bit disappointed with this drive. Granted, I work in video production and have put this through more use than the typical consumer, but after just 5 months it will only mount about 25% of the time I insert it in the USB port. The drive is clean and clear of debris, none of my other drives or devices have this issue, and the problem is replicated on other computers... so it's definitely an issue with the flash drive.
Summary: Haven't done any speed tests on it but its fast, -- very fast, and hasn't given me any issues. I use it to transfer files from my MAC laptop to my PC and also to play videos and music on my media setup. Works like a charm every time.
Summary: This flash drive was nothing like what I expected it to be. To start off, it is very wide. If you have two adjacent USB ports like I do, you will only be able to use one of them while the flash drive is plugged in. As for the actual performance, this was actually slower than a USB 2.0 Sandisk flash drive that I have. While I don't have any USB 3.0 ports, that still doesn't explain why this drive was slower than my USB 2.0 flash drive.
Summary: These flash drives were obviously designed for USB 3. Transfer speeds are exceptional. Benchmark tool actually showed better performance than the system's 7200rpm SATA 3 hard disk. It doesn't make sense to buy a huge flash drive if it takes hours and hours to move data to or from it.
Summary: I am not really sure what the problem is or was with this item but I did have to return it. I needed to reformat it to NTFS to have it work with my back up. No way. After the fact I have found on google that many people have had the same problem with this item.
Summary: This is a great drive. This is my first Silicon Power product and from this experience, it won't be my last. I haven't had a problem with it blocking my other USB ports(or any problem at all) and my ports are TIGHT. Fast on USB 3.0, I got Seq. 155.6 read and 92.07 write. While surfing. Very satisfied. Recommended!
Quite Fast USB 3.0 Flash Drive at a very good price
9 March 2014
Summary: The 64GB Silicon Power Marvel M60 provides great speed at a great price. It is a sturdy unit that I won't have to worry about keeping in my pocket with keys. The capless design is nice, and the USB connector locks in place securely when extended. Size wise, it's thin and an average length. I will say it is a bit wider than a typical flash drive. It doesn't block the USB port next to it, but it comes close.
Summary: Cons: Using Win8 Disk Management utility, unable to partition to NTFS. Could only do FAT32 or exFAT. Could not delete volume. Could not make more than one volume. If it wasn't for EaseUS Partition Magic program, I would have returned it. But using this, I was able to make an NTFS partition. However, I still could not make more than one volume. Product loses a star for this. Pros: Its speed is true to the advertised 180 MB/sec read, 80 MB/sec write.
