the blue or green helios seem to have held up the best,

Dr. D. Strickler, Amazon
22 August 2014
  • Summary: I have had more trouble with this brand than others; what I do not know is whether the product I purchased here on amazon was already discounted due to refurbish/damage/returns. I had over 12 of this. To be fair, the blue or green helios seem to have held up the best. Dealing with Silicon Power Customer service, little results.

What you need to know. Big files fast, little files slow.

E. Cox, Amazon
16 July 2014
  • Summary: Pros; 1) It is a fast as they say, if you're using large files. 2) Price point is very good. Mentions: 1) Unlike other reviewers I don't find it that large, I don't know it's not micro but it's not huge, smaller that my Lexar and Corsair Voyager . 2) No place to put the cap when in use. Cons; 1) it's frustratingly slow when moving small files.

Performance but not long lasting

Sam D., Newegg
13 January 2014
  • Summary: First of all my dad uses some of these, I personally never had an issue. However 2 of the ones I gave him broke, both stopped being read in the system. I assume some sort of issue inherent in the devices themselves. I do think these are fast and good but they seem to fail after a year or so. More testing should be done independently to verify that.
  • Pros: 1. Inexpensive 2. Quality chipset 3. Nice look
  • Cons: 1. 2 broke after a year

Bought 2 Flash Drives

Charles B. Holzer, Amazon
4 January 2014
  • Summary: Both worked fine. One had a serious dent in its rear section even though it was in the original wrapping. The shipment arrived promptly.

Not as fast as I thought.

Jovao do Santos, Amazon
29 November 2013
  • Summary: For a USB 3.0 flash drive, I thought it would be as fast as my SSD hard drive or at least I could copy from and to it very fast. It turned to be faster than my old USB 2.0 but not as I expected. It made me feel a bit disappointing, however, it was a good price for the capacity, also looks good and is very small.

More or less

Felipe Bogaerts, Amazon
24 November 2013
  • Summary: Does not work at the speed promised. It works around 30MB/s on my MacBook Pro Retina 15", that has USB 3.0.

Good, but not as advertised

TBnooki, Amazon
10 October 2013
  • Summary: The speed advertised says 90/60MB for read write, but the package only has one speed listed as 75MB. I guess 75 is the average of the two, but still it is very misleading.

Not bad

Eric S., Newegg
17 July 2013
  • Pros: High capacity, fast speeds. I get write speeds of approximately 25 MB/sec on my Thinkpad with USB 3.0 ports. My old USB 2.0 drive got 5-6 MB/sec.
  • Cons: The cap that goes over the business end of the drive doesn't snap onto the rear of the drive. I will give myself one month before I misplace the cap.

alright

Sheila A., Newegg
30 June 2013
  • Summary: i may get an addon card and see if its faster then. my mobo may be at fault.
  • Pros: it gets 37MB/s read and 17MB/s write even with native usb3 (my desktop) but isnt much slower with usb2 ports (my old laptop 30MB/s read 18MB/s write)
  • Cons: "up to" 90MB/s means just that its not a promise
