Defective and deleted all data in 2 and 1/2 weeks

Joshua W. Braun "Josh Braun", Amazon
28 July 2014
  • Summary: I've only been using this flashdrive for 2 and 1/2 weeks. It erased all my data, including the warranty registration and images that were pre-installed on the drive. I can no longer save, copy, or transfer any files to the flashdrive. When I try to place files on the flashdrive, I receive an error message that says “this file can no longer be found on your computer.” Sometimes, my computer doesn't recognize the flashdrive.

Absolute Garbage. Didn't even work for a day.

Stefan Hayes, Amazon
11 June 2014
  • Summary: Thought this would be a good buy, I could have never been so wrong. This thing lasted less than 24 hours. Absolutely terrible flash drive. Will never buy from them again.

Dead few weeks after received

Joaquin Espidio, Amazon
16 May 2014
  • Summary: It worked perfectly just after received. Some weeks later it started corrupting files while transferring from the USB to other places. Later files couldn't be retrieved at all. I'm afraid it will stop working completely very soon.

Worst POS I've ever bought. Not USB 3.0 compatible.

Sean Bourg-Genser, Amazon
14 May 2014
  • Summary: I managed to use this device 4 times before it crapped out. The device NEVER worked in any USB 3.0 port only in USB 2.0 ports, it was also very slow even for USB 2.0. I just suddenly lost all the data on it, I tried reformatting the device, but afterwards I ran testing software and EVERY SINGLE SECTOR is bad and reporting errors. Don't trust this crap company, the money was negligible, I'm extremely upset about the data loss as I've lost <20 hours of work because of it.

Worked for awhile...

Jack Gurney, Amazon
4 May 2014
  • Summary: When it worked, it was a fine little USB flash drive. But after 9 months the Silicon Power Marvel M50 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive died. It was only used sparingly to move files from one computer to another in a location that has spotty network wireless. First the flash drive flickered on the desktop. After removal and re-insertion it wouldn't mount again. Tried a different flash drive in the same port and that one worked. Took the bad drive to another computer.

Alejandro Schenzle, Amazon
28 April 2014

Advertized speeds are a lie

Walt, Amazon
26 April 2014
  • Summary: I could only get 7.7MB / sec writes on USB3 despite the 20MB rating, and other reviews showing even higher speeds. The TRUTH is you can't get that fast. I strongly suspect the other reviewers are manufacturer shills. I bought this flash drive based on these other reviews that claimed higher speeds. My patriot flash drive running the same test has 75MB writes - 10 times the performance of this flash drive. Bleh.

User Review

Gerald R., Newegg
4 February 2014
  • Pros: Low price
  • Cons: Really slow. The write speed don't even show on Atto Bench until transfers gets to 64k transfers. Spend a little more money and get a faster flash drive. Just make sure it is not Silicon Power.

Sub-par data transfer speed

Gaurav, Amazon
16 November 2013
  • Summary: The data transfer speed is not what you would expect from a USB 3.0 drive, despite using the drive in a USB 3.0 port.
