It's as cheap as you expect it is

Excerpt: This is one of the cheapest USB 3 sticks out there. I guess you get what you pay for. The first time I tried to plug it in to my MacBook Pro I couldn't because the USB head kept sliding back in to it's shell like a turtle head. It was extremely frustrating and I was going to send it back. However, I did learn how to keep the USB head locked out while plugging in. So I think I'm going to keep it. Still... you've been warned.
Summary: I bought this flash drive to back up my work files: it's fine for long-term storage, but it is much too slow for everyday use and synching files with the hard drive. At first I thought it was not functioning at all... It took 17 minutes to transfer a folder approx. 1 GB in size. The 8GB version of the Cruzer drive worked much faster. Reading the reviews, I see now that this is a common complaint about the 32GB plus Cruzer flash drives.
Summary: I got this to replace a 8 GB SanDisk model. They repositioned the key ring anchor (a little metal bar) in such a way that you can't actually attach a key ring (12-year-old engineer, undoubtedly). After messing with it for an hour (trying different size key rings, cutting a notch in the drive and bending the tip of a key ring so I could try angling it in), I gave up. My work-around was to thread a metal guitar "B" string through the opening. Even doing that wasn't easy.
