Summary: Okay, this is a bit of an off the wall review, but decided it is DEFINITELY worth posting!! I bought this flash drive to replace my old one that I lost. This SanDisk is a great size, fits nicely on a keychain with keys.
Summary: I purchased ten of these to have for the office. I liked the idea of the slider to retract the male end into the housing so it would not be damaged. However, when plugging it into the computer, I have to hold on to the slider to prevent the protruding male USB connection from retracting again.
Summary: Well all the other reviews are correct, this thing certainly won't be winning any speed contests. I average about 4.71MB/second. My Sandisk 4&8gb easily cleared 14MB/second. I was also pleased that it didn't come preloaded with any U3 software at all. Excellent.
Summary: This is a good flash drive. The only thing is you don't get exactly 16 gigs. You actually get about 14.9, I'm assuming because of the software that the device needs to work properly, but I think you should be informed of this.
Summary: I mainly use my drive for playing mp3's in my car stereo. I plugged the 4gb drive into the computer and it starts running all the U3 stuff. I close that down and open the drive. I delete all the u3 files. I copy mp3's to it and forget about it.
Summary: I should have read the reviews here first but I saw the price and bought the Sandisk Cruzer only because I have had good experiences with other Sandisk products. First I am on an Intel iMac and the first thing is a CD image loads on the desktop as well as the USB Flash drive.
