SanDisk Cruzer Micro 4GB Flash Drive
25 July 2014
Excerpt: I got the SanDisk Cruzer Micro 4GB Flash Drive mainly because of the back up system. It has a U3 backup system, which I findvery well built. I have tried a couple of security software, but they are not as well built compared to the Sandisk Cruzer Micro.
Summary: Does it hold 4 gigs? yes Does it work with every computer i've tried it with? yes Does it have a virus? no is it therefore a perfectly acceptable flash drive with no need for anything more or less?
Summary: I bought this one to replace my previous 2gb Sandisk Cruzer capacity flash drive that I'd lost and it's been 2 years now. Same as the first- it does its job. You plug it in. You put files on it. It keeps them there until you need them. What more do you need? The included U3 software is nice to have. I've used it before with the previous drive, so it's nothing new to me. It's a nice way to access your files on there.
Summary: Some people don't like the U3 software but it works for me. In particular, I like their approach to encryption. I specifically bought this model because the description said it included U3. When I plugged it in, however, there was no U3. I am extremely disappointed. Note: Purchased in Nov 2010 from Digital Media Source.
Summary: Okay, this is a bit of an off the wall review, but decided it is DEFINITELY worth posting!! I bought this flash drive to replace my old one that I lost. This SanDisk is a great size, fits nicely on a keychain with keys. The sliding mechanism does operate smoothly, but I found I needed to hold the slider in the out position when plugging it in, or the USB head would want to slide back into the housing. That is the ONLY negative thing I have to say about this flashdrive!
Summary: Ok, first of all, I'm not going to tell you how amazing this is or that you would be stupid not to buy it, or anything like that, because honestly, its just a flash drive. It is a good one: it works, and its pretty cheep for a 4 gig, but honestly, why do people make such a big deal about a flash drive? Anyway, It is just what it says it is. Also, a lot of people who rated it 1 star said that they don't like it because it automatically installs software.
Summary: I have 3 Sandisk Cruzer flashdrives, and my son also has one I gave him. I had a 4gb titanium Cruzer but that got lost. Anyway, I really, really like the cruzer. I have two 4gb and one 8gb and use them nearly every day to store files or music, swap photos with my family or friends even used it to load itunes on my dad's pc when his internet was down and he couldnt download.
Summary: I purchased ten of these to have for the office. I liked the idea of the slider to retract the male end into the housing so it would not be damaged. However, when plugging it into the computer, I have to hold on to the slider to prevent the protruding male USB connection from retracting again. It is a bit of a pain when the USB port is new or slighlty undersized. Otherwise these work fine. The data transfer rate seems very fast.
Summary: The 4.0 G SanDisk that was received was not the 4.0 G "Password Protected" SanDisk Flash Drive ordered. The 3 received did not have the Cruze U3 function which is San Disk "password" software. I have found out from SanDisk that they no longer make the 4.0 G with "Password Protection". For the ones received and returned the price plus the shipping and handling is not competative. You can walk in Wal-Mart and buy them every day for less than $ 10.00.
