BAD PURCHASE

Howard G. Montgomery, RHU, Amazon
27 April 2014
  • Summary: Poor construction quality. Also, the 64GB "maxed out" at 50.1GB, limiting my storage by nearly 14GB. Unfortunately, a bad purchase.

Cheap quality, difficult to insert into USB drive

Helen S. Lam, Amazon
16 March 2014
  • Summary: My cousin gave me some pictures and saved them on one of these SanDisk Cruzer Edge drives. Is it cheap quality with the plastic contact! It took me quite a few tries to successfully insert it into the USB port of my computer. The head kept getting pushed back into the SanDisk housing! I do not think it'll be very durable with frequent use. I am glad that I was able to extract the photos but I won't use it again for fear of losing my data.

Encryption software is a joke!

Keith Brown, Amazon
23 February 2014
  • Summary: The USB drive works as advertised, but the encryption software only allows you to open read-only files.

Horrible design

blazinbren, Amazon
16 January 2014
  • Summary: I have purchased many SanDisk USBs in the past and never had an issue. I am so upset I wasted my money on this horribly designed flash drive. And you couldn't tell in the package that the design was so crappy. I wish I had looked here first before wasting my money. I bought a cheesy Angry Birds USB that works better......seriously.

Slow piece of crap

arobot, Amazon
2 November 2013
  • Summary: If you care about moving big files, such as movies, then don't buy this product. Transferring a 5GB can take up to 30 minutes on this thing due to its terribly slow transfer rate.

Low QC

Creation27, Amazon
24 September 2013
  • Summary: I bought one of these at Wal-Mart, backed up files until it was about half full. Fast forward two months and there's no data on it. I had accidentally backed up the data twice so it was okay. I brought it back to Wal-Mart thinking it was just defective. Swapped it for a new one, at home I tested it and no matter whether I reformated it, used Windows Repair on it, when you put data into it, unplugged it, then plugged it in it was empty.

Worst Sandisk product I've owned.

Sean Kelly, Amazon
19 August 2013
  • Summary: I usually depend on Sandisk to deliver a reliable product at a decent price, sadly the "Sandisk Cruzer Edge" does not deliver. Less than 30 days and the outer shell had cracked and would no longer stay on my keyring. At about 90 days the drive stop being recognized my primary computer and by about 5 months no computer would recognize it at all. I still regularly recommend Sandisk with a new caveat, "Anything but the Cruzer Edge".

User Review

Homerepairguy, Walmart
8 March 2013
  • Summary: 2.5MB to one time 6MB write speed and 30MB to 31MB read. fast on the read, god awful slow writing speed. I bought this for an embedded engineering project. Huge fail. This is only good for writing one time then read only from then on. I have used many of the 12 and 32GB Firebird drives from Sandisk (and they work very well) in projects this year but this one was a real disappointment and I will be more careful in the future with Sandisk products.

A Disaster

Mike, Amazon
4 March 2013
  • Summary: Any drives using the Secure Access software will go down in history as the Edsel of flash drives. Wasted hours trying to make it function efficiently; finally gave up and am using an unprotected drive.
