SanDisk disappointed me....

Thomas E. Stuckey, Amazon
  • Summary: Was happy to get another 16gb drive since I lost my Patriot 16gb drive. My son got a SanDisk 16gb Cruzer Glide for me and since I've used SanDisk in the past I expected great transfer speeds. Was I ever shocked to get less than 6mb transfer rate on this drive. It is even so slow that when I try to play a movie from it on my HD tv it causes problems during the playback.

Too Stubby

DrMarkComputerDoctor, Bestbuy
22 March 2014
  • Summary: I had to attach a pull cord to this guy to ease up removal from devices. I suppose if it were used as a Windows SpeedBoost drive it'd be fine.
  • Pros: Price / Capacity
  • Cons: Too Stubby - Difficult to Remove

There are better Flash Drives for the Price

Allen Collins, Amazon
5 March 2014
  • Summary: I was excited about this product until I got it and noticed that every time that I plug it into my computer the button collapses and then I have to hold the button forward just to get it into the drive.

Cannot use without entering a password!

Chris, Amazon
2 February 2014
  • Summary: I had no idea it was going to be a hassle to store data on this flash drive. How do I update a device with this if it demands a password to unlock their vault. It is not my vault. It is their vault. All the other flash-drives I have can be plugged in and access what is on them. I guess if someone does not want others knowing what is on the drive it works good for them.

Looks cool, very slow transfer speeds.

J. Baker "Baker", Amazon
10 January 2014
  • Summary: I really like the idea of the Bamboo casing. There's so many generic looking USB flash drives out there, this one stands out with it's unique look. I'm a photographer, and purchased a few of these to deliver images to clients. The drawback I quickly found was the extremely slow transfer speeds. This drive was running approximately 3 mb/s on transfers. I swapped out to different flash drive I had laying around, and redid the transfer to that drive as a test.

Good Looking Flash Drive, Poor Performance

That_Baker_Guy, Amazon
8 January 2014
  • Summary: I bought these a couple months ago, havent used them much atleast not on a daily basis. They only work about half of the time, whether in linux or windows. used on multiple computers, these are awful. I have a 3 year old usb 1.0 drive that works better than these.

Very disappointing

Brian Balzer, Amazon
4 November 2013
  • Summary: Rather disappointed with these drives considering it had the Sandisk name. But, I guess even Sandisk has drives that are "you get what you pay for." When I saw this twin pack of 32 GB drives for $40, I jumped on it. But, the drives seem to copy really slow, and often times, copying large files would fail altogether. I work with several different models of PC's and workstations at work and some of the PC's won't even detect the drive.
