Summary: I purchased two Thumb Drives, an 8GB and a 32GB. They are supposed to be secure. I followed all of the instructions carefully but they never did work properly. They would record video but would not make it secure. I entered my information and password but the locked safe would not open, ever. I tried for two days but no luck, so I did perhaps a foolish thing, I formated both of them, before I realised that the locking program was what I had removed.
Summary: I ordered two of these items, one for a gift and one for myself. I only tried to use mine for the first time yesterday. I opened the package, put the flash drive into my computer and was immediately warned by my security system that it contained a Trojan Virus. I was unable to use the item. I found out that the one that I gave as a gift had the same problem. Unfortunately, the recipient did not notify me, she just threw it away.
Summary: Erratic and poor performance. Unable to copy any large file without some sort of issue. Operating system (Win7 x64) Most of time operating system can not find drive. Always sez not formatted even after I just formatted. Attempted both fat32 and NTFS format with same issues. Always have to resort to "quick format' option because other options always fail. Tried on three different computers with same dissapointing results. Gonna return asap.
DO NOT BUY! Suffers from a "Media is write protected" error.

Summary: I only just started using this recently, when it suddenly started experiencing an error preventing me from saving anything new on the drive. My files are still there; I can still open my files or copy them to another drive, but I can't modify anything on the drive. I can't even create new folders on the drive, because every time I try to save anything, it gives me a message of "The media is write protected.
Summary: I purchased this unit having already owned the previous generation unit (the one with the white slider), sadly without checking reviews. It never occurred to me this "next generation" drive would be, in my testing, about 66% slower to write data. It took me around 50 minutes to copy 12.6Gb of data to the unit. I was floored about how slow the write speed was.
Summary: I am sure the people who rated this product high, truly enjoyed it. The problem with mine is it simply does not work. I plugged the USB drive into my computer, it worked for a few minutes as I transferred some school work onto it, and then suddenly the drive disappeared and I got a "drive malfunction error".
Summary: Usually USB drives come with some sort of ring so you can attach it to a key chain. This didn't. It came for a space for a key chain, but not an actual key chain. It was pretty difficult to do anything to keep it safe. I spent forever trying to thread a strong string through it so I can tie it to my key chain. My thumb hurts, and it hurts under my finger nails. I hope it stays on. So far, the memory and speed seems great.
Summary: The place where you are supposed to put a keyring is physically impossible to get anything to fit underneath. Did Sandisk even try to use this feature before they marked the product for production? I don't see how this item is convenient at all since you can't even put a keyring on it!
Summary: Takes forever to transfer data on it. I attempted to use it with my XBox 360, fat chance. It is so slow it's not worth even trying. Tried to use it on my PC to transfer stuff from my laptop to desktop, takes forever just to transfer 4gb worth of data. I would try and return this and get a refund from Amazon, but for $12...it's not worth the effort. Last SanDisk flash drive I purchase. Their flash memory and flash drives have become pathetic in the last three years.
