Summary: This product worked fine one day and then the next day all items saved were gone. As if that weren't bad enough, it wouldn't reformat either. I'd had it less than a year. I definitely feel ripped off.
Summary: I've owned two of these, a 2GB and a 4GB. The 2GB completely fell apart. It began to split right through the middle. With the 4GB, the cover broke off. I'll be spending a bit more to get something of better quality.
Summary: I didn't buy this on Amazon, but at another store I frequently patron. If any blame is to go around it should rest solely on PNY's shoulders. PNY is the brand I always recommended as a good 2nd choice for flash memory. It didn't always get recognized by Windows OS but it was detected once it was inserted into the USB port and more times than not worked with the OS.
Summary: Bought a smaller PNY. It "write protected" and became useless and could not be fixed and took all the files with it. Thought it was a fluke. Bought another PNY and this time 64gb because it had a cheap price. It worked a few months then "Write Protected" which is a nice way of saying the thumb drive broke and is useless. You can't wipe your files to send it in for a replacement. It is worse than free. If they gave me one for free I would not take it.
Summary: The drive performs well as far as read/write speed goes. No pre-installed software to speak of which is nice, it's just a basic flash drive. The package, however, was poorly designed. It takes a LOT of force to close the sliding cover when it's new. I had to actually put the drive USB connector side down on the table and force the cover back over it.
Summary: You don't want to trust it with your data. Died after a few days of use. Copied only a couple of files. Had a micro center generic 2GB flash drive for 3 years (used frequently) without problems and still works. This PNY is junk.
Summary: I Don't usually leave reviews about products, but my flash drive just died. I bought it about 1 year ago, hadn't used it in awhile, and when i just tried using it i realized it had broken. IT JUST WOULDN'T WORK AS IF IT WAS NON EXISTENT. Couldn't reformat it or anything.
Summary: I wasn't surprised when I looked on here and many other people had the same issues I had. The Drive worked well for 5-6 months then it felt apart in a hurry. First, the plastic covering over the USB part of the drive started to pull apart. Then, out of no where, the keychain holder broke so I couldn't hook it on with my keys. After a few days, the plastic came fully apart and I was left with a non-functioning Flash Drive.
Summary: I am an avid user of flash drives ever since the first ones came out and 128mb was the latest and the greatest. I have used many different brands: Lexar, PNY, Kingston, Sandisk & generics brands etc... I am extremely careful with all of my tech devices etc... All I do is carry the flash drive in my pocket and take it out when I need it etc... (I have NEVER washed one in the washing machine!) I am VERY disappointed with PNY for the poor housing of this particular model.
