Summary: I just had one of these literally fall apart. I kept it on my keychain with the cover on. Never dropped or misused. I post this because I had another PNY flash drive also fall apart a few months ago. I contacted the manufacturer, and they pointed out that it was out of warranty. Sorry, you get nothing. FYI PNY, (sorry, could not resist) even the offer of a modest coupon or small credit would have gone a long way.
Summary: Terrible. Will not work in car audio unit, and two laptops. It does work in another laptop and desktop computers. Seems the problem is the connector is PLASTIC! (Zoom in on this photo) Not metal. Asked PNY if I could return it for a drive with a metal connector. They said no - Very unhelpful. Will never touch a PNY product again, too many reputable firms to choose from.
Summary: Worked fine for mp3 use, and some light file usage. One morning, completely failed to recognize. This drive was never abused, and was treated carefully when ejected/removed from computers. I have never had this problem with another USB stick -- i have some Sandisk ones I have been using for five years, daily. Beware of cheap USB drives. No more PNY ones for me.
Summary: Mine worked fine for a few months, then kept ejecting on it's own, now it takes 30 minutes to load files that take less than 2 minutes on my other flash drives. I tried different types of Disk Repair and reformatting etc but it is useless. It's too bad because I really like the mini hook .
Summary: I've had this thing less than a week and it's broke because this cheap thing is made of plastic. The sucker broke on me when I was tying to plug into my tv. Stick with metal!!! This thing is cheaply made and not worth the ,money.
Summary: I've owned literally hundreds of USB drives over the years, from many vendors, including PNY with never a failure within a couple of years of purchase. This one failed shortly after the Amazon Return Period expired with a symptom I've never encountered before, but research now shows it is common on the current higher capacity PNY drives.
Summary: Bought it out of state, Mac won't recognize it, contacted PNY, after a little run around they said there would be a replacement sent. waited a few weeks contacted them again for an update. The response was the warranty only last one year and it is out of warranty. I double checked my math, added a few weeks to an email sent to PNY a few days after I bought it = still a few weeks. Then I thought to check my calendar year to make sure a few weeks does not equal a year.
