Summary: I just had one of these literally fall apart. I kept it on my keychain with the cover on. Never dropped or misused. I post this because I had another PNY flash drive also fall apart a few months ago. I contacted the manufacturer, and they pointed out that it was out of warranty. Sorry, you get nothing. FYI PNY, (sorry, could not resist) even the offer of a modest coupon or small credit would have gone a long way.
Cons: After (conveniently for Newegg) just over a month, I now have a worthless piece of plastic decoration. I used this drive 3-4 times and made two data transfers before it bricked. I used safe ejection (though it was configured not to need this) just to be careful and have tried several methods of resurrecting this thing but it is no more. Don't waste your money (unless you need some overpriced ornaments for your tree this X-mas.
Summary: Purple (this could be violet), Gray, Teal, Blue, Red, etc, these are all the same ... SLOW. I purchased two, in different colors, and both have the same slow speed. In a darkened room, and at night in the car, a red one and a reddish-purple one, look the same... I can't tell them apart. Under USB properties, the PNY micro-sleek flash drive installs in XP as a "Removable Disk".
