Mine worked fine for a few months

TJ, Amazon
30 August 2014
  • Summary: Mine worked fine for a few months, then kept ejecting on it's own, now it takes 30 minutes to load files that take less than 2 minutes on my other flash drives. I tried different types of Disk Repair and reformatting etc but it is useless. It's too bad because I really like the mini hook .

HORRIBLE

G. Lucio, Amazon
9 May 2014
  • Summary: I've had this thing less than a week and it's broke because this cheap thing is made of plastic. The sucker broke on me when I was tying to plug into my tv. Stick with metal!!! This thing is cheaply made and not worth the ,money.

Write Protect Problem Cannot be Resolved

Mike St. Clair, Amazon
5 May 2014
  • Summary: I've owned literally hundreds of USB drives over the years, from many vendors, including PNY with never a failure within a couple of years of purchase. This one failed shortly after the Amazon Return Period expired with a symptom I've never encountered before, but research now shows it is common on the current higher capacity PNY drives.

Drive became read only in about a year

Kester P. Mckinney, Amazon
19 February 2014
  • Summary: I've had many usb drives with no issues. I usually just end up buying a larger one. This one wasn't used all that much, but became write only. Frustrating because it was so handy to have on my keychain.

  • Summary: After a few weeks this is what I get. Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43). A request for the USB device descriptor failed. OS: Windows 8 & 8.1, Purchased Oct 2013. Failed within weeks... Back to shopping for a large capacity flash drive. I'll keep the packaging and receipt next time.

Fell apart

Dakota, Amazon
25 November 2013
  • Summary: Not only did it repeatedly currupt the data stored on it, I went to pull it out of my computer, using the string because the drive itself is METAL and gets VERY HOT, and the whole damn thing fell apart. The thing on the end that the string goes through pulled out of the metal casing, and now I'm flashdriveless. I had it for only a few months.

  • Summary: What attracted me to this drive was it's size - compact but high capacity. It had a life of less than 2 weeks before failing to read and write data greater than 2mb/s where it should be between 25-30mb/s on a USB 2. Unfortunately I tossed the packaging and receipt so this will follow suit. This is the second of 3 inexpensive PNY flash drives that have failed me. The 3rd is a more expensive and apparently more reliable model.
